I know this has been said before, but I think it's pretty freaking amazing to have a guy like Trey coming into his first full season of racing since going through a series of traumatic injuries...the last being a broken back, and to be riding with the speed & aggression he is. The guy pretty much has third place locked in, and looked dynamite at Unadilla. I'm looking forward to seeing how he'll do in next years SX series.

Not taking anything away from any of the top riders, because they are all amazing in their own rights...but Canard has more heart than I've seen in a racer in a long time. He says God gave him his purpose, and that's to be a motorcycle racer. Hard to argue with that.

I'm betting Trey was making a statement about the MXofN choices yesterday. Just my opinion on the matter but he rode with the mindset that nobody was going to beat him in that second into. Love me some Trey. True ambassador to the sport.

Well said and I agree 100%. It takes a special kind of a dude / athlete to overcome what he's been through. And to not only come back.....but come back stronger than he was before and with even more fire in his belly. Such a great dude that comes from a great family. His mom raised him right for sure.

Who can't be a fan of Trey. I thought I witnessed someone dying when I saw that crash where he got landed on by Morais; couldn't stomach watching the replays. Here he is more than a year later winning a moto and looking aces along the way. His flow around Unadilla was amazing yesterday. I'm not a Christian and don't care for religion in general, but if everyone who was religious acted like Trey, I think no one would have a problem with religion.

Yeah, although he & I share the same beliefs...I try hard to leave that out of my discussions about Trey. One thing is for sure...he's not ashamed of what he's about, and that's pretty cool in anybody if they're about doing something positive.

Trey will always have a great ride on a great team & make great paychecks. He's a solid guy who makes his sponsors look good.

Such a class act. Believes in The Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and doesn't care what anyone thinks about it or him....the way it should be. So freakin stoked to see Honda add an ambassador like TC41 for a couple more years. Says a lot about Trey for Honda to stick with him over all these injury plagued years. I also don't think we're done seeing Trey winning the rest of this year either. Best of luck Trey, you are what this sport wants and needs!

I think you're betting wrong. He'd been testing the new suspension, and felt like it was going to make a difference. I'm betting that's what he was focused on.

I try to leave it out as well (in fact this is the first time I've ever mentioned Trey and religion in the same post). I was just trying to say that he's an exemplary role model for his beliefs.

Well said. His will and determination to keep striving forward, on the track and with his walk with God, despite setbacks, is truly inspiring beyond words. I also really enjoy his twitter-sermons. I haven't seen the race yet, but I sure can't wait to watch it. God Bless Trey Canard!

I think I understand what you are trying to say. However, I have seen numerous posts by Trey explaining that he is not about religion but a belief and walk. Religion is a whole other topic than what Trey is communicating.

I think the spots on the MXdN team should be earned. Whichever 2 American riders have the most MX points come Unadilla should have the option to go whether or not they are the fastest riders. If they opt out, then give the option to the riders with the next highest points. I'm glad to see Trey get a moto win. Hoping he'll get an overall soon.

By definition (Merriam Webster, in fact haha), belief/walk and religion are the same. I know what you mean though, that Trey emphasizes the good of the Christian faith (and there are a lot of good ideas), and tosses out the bad/outdated/misinterpreted.

Back to the topic at hand (or another diversion), who feels Trey should've gotten the MX3 nod?
