I really wish we had never started this testing. What has it accomplished except to ruin the season of one of our best riders, perhaps tarnishing his legacy forever? Steve Cox I believe posted a great letter to this same effect a couple weeks ago and he was 100% spot on.

You gotta admit, James loves the spotlight. Remember "the worm"? The "sprinkler"? The "Adderall spin"? He dresses up like Prince and Rick James for the cameras. This is the downside of it all. He's getting more attention because he's always gotten more attention. He's always wanted more attention, hell pretty much demanded it. It is Bubba's World ya' know. Since he's been on the downhill side of his career, we've all seen the commercial/interview where he talks about how he may not be out front winning, "but did you see Bubba do that wall jump".

He has entirely too many people on the payroll that he has to provide a paycheck to. It is obvious that many of them aren't paying attention to what counts most. He should probably clean house and start fresh and that includes bringing back the #259. Keyboard jockey out....
yep, cant have it both ways, you want the spotlight, you got it, good and bad and his paychecks reflect that.

You wrongfully accused him of breaking the rules, misleading people & saying he's so arrogant that he feels above the law. You did this all while having a copy of the rule, but never having read it or understood it. This happens all the time unfortunately.
This whole thread is about him possibly breaking a rule: it's not just me.

I got on dart board because he was trying to play it off like it was all just bullshit. Which it's not. There was an event at Millville, that's not debatable. What have I said to smear him that is not true?

And are you guys really going to say that a personal nurse qualifies as the medical official in the rule book? Come on.... You know they are referring specifically to on-staff medical workers provided for everyone. How is it fair that a rider can pay for a nurse that can individually call for an IV 'legally' then reinstate him to race? That's such a blaring conflict of interest it's scary. It also undermines the rules, which I'm sure doesn't make the organizers happy.

I'm pretty sure the AMA would want to avoid having their riders buying this kind of stuff off the Internet and injecting it into their bodies.

Team Alessi for sure. The Stewart family is far from the dysfunctional bunch at Team Tony. Big James has never had a public meltdown, has never gone on a radio show and accused everybody short of God for their troubles, and has never had any kids disrespect other riders like Jeff did with that stupid "lasergate" thing.

I applaud James for being real...and being a real person. I'm not saying rules weren't broken...but I am saying that he has been made an example of, and has become the subject of a huge witchhunt because of this PED deal. I sincerely hope...as a fan of JS7, that he either can rise above all this and kill it in 2015...or has the maturity to retire knowing that he wasn't a cheater but was forced into retirement by our "little sport" mentality.
I would bet good money that a whole bunch of JS7 "fans" were hoping this PED testing would have caught "the other guy"... sorta backfired eh?

Bummer all the way around, imo.

Thanks for sharing the info Otis Redding.
Just sitting here on the dock of the bay...you're welcome. Sounds like riders getting an IV between motos isn't new news...I was hoping this wouldn't turn into an angry, finger-pointing rant...but who am I kidding, it's Vital. Some people on here make great points...some just seem to want to fight. Ps., I told my source I was going to share this on Vital because i've not read anything about it, and this was fresh, relative news about the sports most liked/disliked rider, he was OK with it ONLY because plenty of other industry people knew about the nurse/credentials incident; he was somewhat protected that way. Anyway....I do hope it all works out for JS7, I LOVE watching the guy race, when he's on, he's unreal and entertaining.

It would've caught the other guy, if only, oh nevermind!Whistling Tongue

On a serious note, this testing has turned into one big clusterfuck! I was hoping it would catch the hardcore PED users and if it was James, then so be it, but there are so many grey areas and dysfunctional protocol that I wish they would've never started! I wouldn't want RV or any other rider for that matter going through what James is going through right now. It's a bunch of BS.

It's weird that , "That riders fan base " gets clicked more often than any other group on here huh? They start more shit than any fan base that I've ever seen or heard of.

There are ways to be a super fan.....and be cool about it. Look at guys like Kong0036 and Chip ( sometimes! ) and a few others.......can carry on a good debate or support James , but do it with class.

There is no need to slam all the other riders out there , to make your own personal favorite look better. And for some reason.....some of the JS7 fans seem to just love doing it.

I agree.....it is bullshit to a point and I honestly feel sorry for James and all the shit he is having to go through. But I find it hard to believe that you and some other guys like Lenny , Kongols , Iceman446 , P and a few others......wouldn't be in here every day reminding everyone how much RV cheated , if the show was on the other foot.

Hell....over on " the other site ".......the day before the info was leaked about James , Lenny said he was going to blow this place up like a nuclear bomb because he KNEW it was RV riding dirty. And I believe him.

Personally......I didn't want ANY of the riders to test dirty! And James is getting complete hell from the haters on this.

Again though.....I'm holding my judgement until an official press release or proof comes out. Until then....I wish him the best.

I apologize for being a noob and quoting you, but I just wanted to say I totally agree. But the js7 fanboys usually get fired up because there are so many anti js7 fanboys. For example in this thread (mxKing809). These anti fans get so gitty and excited over any negative news towards js7 they are quickly posting the rule book and pretty much calling for a hanging. I feel js7 deserves a little more respect, he is one of the greats.

Wait.. Don't drag me is this Laughing

The only critical thing I have said about any rider was when Mike Alessi T-boned Tickle, and I said that was terrible.

I like all the riders, the only reason I defend James is he scrapes the bottom of the barrel of worst people in the sport that endlessly hate on him on social media and at the track.

RV and a few others get it too, just nowhere near the same level.

And yes the fanboys who hypocritically trash their riders competition are the worst.

C'mon man!! Lol

I'm not anti-JS7, I'm anti rule breaking. And unfortunately there is so much blind JS7 support and defense I have been trying to oppose some. I don't want to see him kicked out of the sport, he's a blast to watch. The racing is better when he is competitive and things are clicking for him.

When things like this happen I usually post the rules just for clarification.... Just to erase any speculation.

I got on dart board because he was trying to play it off like it was all just bullshit. Which it's not. There was an event at Millville, that's not debatable. What have I said to smear him that is not true?

It's starting to appear that you have an agenda here. You posted the rule, but it seems like you haven't actually read it. There is no mention of "medical official" as being the person with the ability to initiate an IV and then clear a rider later. It's "medical personnel" for a reason, which is why it later differentiates what occurs when the "event medical director" sees a rider and recommends a course of action. The fact that they specifically show a difference between what can or will occur between seeing "medical personnel" and "event medical director" shows that they are not the same, nor were they intended to be.

I wonder if this nurse lady was just recently brought on to the Stewart team since Malcoms issue?.....Kidney and liver failure due to dehydration is no joke....there could also be an underlying medical issue which would be 100% a private health issue for Malcom to address.....If James and Malcom are on the same program, James receiving an IV' after the race and staying hydrated to avoid a repeat of Malcoms symptoms is a no brainer to me.....AFTER the races...

Its been said many of these guys get IV's after the races....

MxKing809 wrote: "No, it's a rider breaking a rule.... That's explicitly written in the rules. If you IV after practice/ during motos, you're done for the day. Period. How is breaking rules (allegedly) and getting caught bullshit?

Edit: so now GuyB and JT$ have pretty much agreed it happened.... Wow. Is he that arrogant that he feels he's above the law??"

With that understanding then, MXSPORTS is totally fine with riders using IV's between motos as long as they hire medical personnel for their own staff. My point is that while that may be interpreted from the rules, I don't believe that is the intent of the rule..... And furthermore, doing so circumvents the intent to keep non-medical emergency IV's from being used to gain an advantage.

There aren't supposed to be IVs during competition on race day. Post-race is okay.
If ivs are ok post race, then I don't see how this gains traction. Prove that he did it between motos.

That's the point.
Ok I guess I misread it.

There' s pretty much no way to enforce no IVs between motos, people have gotten injured/sick from dehydration and even lost a rider from dehydration..... WHY NOT MAKE IT AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD AND MAKE IT LEGAL?

Now I don't know if I necessarily agree with that, but it's an interesting argument.

Yes, proper hydration is achieved days before the race
Yes, this would open a whole new can of worms such as where do we draw the line? Whats really in the IV?
Yes, its slightly harder for privateers to receive
Yes, promotocross can be classified as an endurance sport, which clashes with the idea of receiving IVs between races

But both motos are worth the same amount of points, it prevents tragedies and keeps riders healthier, it evens the playing field between riders who illegally use IVs and those who obey the rules - rules that are really hard to enforce to begin with.

I'm not a Bubba fanatic, but I see it as an argument worth consideration. I myself am not sure if I would agree with it or not.

----- However, if they found that James broke the rules he should still be punished accordingly. Look at the positives and negatives of changing the rule for the future though.
