We can all only hope that he rides a few more years, then takes a job in the booth.
Playing the 'black card' here a little....but having a dominate black racer is one thing....but having a well spoken and likable black announcer that used to be one of the fastest racers will definitely generate a whole new level for our sport. Like James has said "we are all the same color with our helmets on"...
James still has some years to control his bank account as he sees fit. Offers will come. Its like Matthes and the crew are arguing against themselves. I have heard them all say before that with potential for a win (Grant, Reed, Millsaps etc..) that teams will be calling looking to spend some $$ on these guys. Then on a podcast they say James may be out of a job. Laughable i tell ya.
I am sure you are reading this. All I want to know is how much of a laugh do you get off of it?
Too bad we will never know. If I had this guy's talent and had this many people caring about how I am spending my bread I would love to sit back and read the drama all day.
Pit Row
An average upper middle class dude that is ~30 years old now only makes like 5 million bucks in a lifetime before taxes between entering and exiting the workforce. 2.5 million in the bank at 30 years old in 2014 is enough to be ok for life. These top guys clear that kind of money pretty easy. Everything on top of that is a bonus. Simple investments and a plan for a modest lifestyle after 65 and it's not hard to be set at all.
What next, are you going to mock some cancer patients?
Big ballin! Lol
Does everyone forget that these guys are public figures getting paid to represent worldwide brands?
