I like Josh and wish him the best, but he's had one of the best bikes in the biz for a while and was supported longer than most would have been based on what he might be able to do, he just never really delivered that pack leadind speed RCH wants. At this level racing, sadly, is a business and owners expect results. I believe Josh should be greatful for the opportunity that was given to him, and I think he is, but what's done is done. Time to move on. I hope in the final two races he's able to get some great results and land a quality ride for next season. I'll bet the JGR ride would work well for him. Those bikes have HP and maybe he could get better starts and be up front more with the top dogs.

Do you hate puppies, too? Wink

Watching the race, it was really cool to see how much fun he was having, and how easy he made it look...especially after all the crap he's gone through the last few years.

I talked to him a bit after the race and will post it up soon.
Puppy hate sucks.

Hansons career in the shitter? He gets paid to freeride his motorcycle...and do some one off races here and there. The dude has a life and does not have to train 24/7...being able to party and have a good times sounds like a good career to me.

Sounds like the conflict exists only between RC and Hill.

Seems odd that the team wouldn't support him with the bike changes he wanted. What would he request that he couldn't have that would help him that much on starts? I think they have to run the air forks, and that would be the only obvious change the fans could see, but I don't know if changing forks would help starts. Gearing, electronics, engine package???

Sucks for a guy to get dumped like that but I guess there are 2 sides to the story that we will never hear.

It's NOT.....he even said it last night on the pulp show. He wants to get back into racing more than anything right now though. I wish him luck and hope we get to see him back out there!

I had to look up his MX stats in the vault because I honestly could not recall much of Hills outdoor career off the top of my head other than that 3rd at Binghamton. That podium was in his second career race in 2006 after Loretta's and it remains his only podium in MX.

2006 250 MX: 4 races - 22, 3, 11, 25

2007 250 MX: 10 races - 13, 9, 7, 6, 13, 13, 35, 20, 20, 20, 23

2007 450 MX: 2 races - 9, 6 The 250 class was going badly due to bike issues so Josh convinced Yamaha to move him to the 450's for the last 2 rounds.

2008 450 MX: 12 races - 19, 9, 24, 9, 9, 13, 4, 11, 5, 13, 9, 8

2009-2010 SX only with San Manuel Yamaha. The backflip injury was 2010 after SX.

2011 missed the entire season recovering from the flip injuries.

2012 450 MX: 2 races - 22, 21 H&H put him in a sprinter van to race Washougal & Southwick even though the team was SX only.

30 starts and 3 top 5 finishes in MX. It has been a 6 years since Hill put in a full season but he seems to be riding better in SX lately even though his finishes do not really reflect it. It is hard to say how Hill might fare in MX this year if he finds a ride, but If he is fit and avoids more injuries he could be a top 10 guy.

Thanks dude!

So really not much to speak for outdoors lately.

Hill and Hanny should make a SX team together. Go ride Australian series then ride here. Good gig and they both get the summers off.

Not sure what brought on the separation and don't really need to either. But, I do appreciate the fact that Josh was professional in his interview and did not burn any bridges on the way out (at least publicly). Good for him. Hope he lands a ride.

A team comprised of Hansen, Hill, and Lawrence would be the dopest team ever.

If I had the bucks I would get behind that group.

I find it odd that he was let go at the moment. Quite a few riders are up on their contracts at the end of this year. Tedesco over Hill? RC and IT are buddies, as well as Peick was not only a politically genius move, it will bring results as well. So next year, I bet we see at least the one new rider pretty much signed (94) and another new rider.

I dont have anything against Hill or Hansen but RC seems to be the kind of guy who wants a hard charger and not your typical Cool guy Bro ....Im sure he likes Tickle alot more than Hill because Tickle atleast appears to be trying hard (not saying Hill isnt) but you know how it goes with reputations and stuff.

This is just assumption with no basis. I'm gonna go on a limb and say Josh Hill works hard. Guy almost ended up with limbs that don't fuckin work....jesus.

Peick didn't get Hill's ride, he's filling in for Tickle. IT got Hill's ride and he is there for a very specific reason...testing. Ivan is a great test rider and will help tremendously in that aspect as they prepare for 2015 and their "new" rider who sets his bike up very closely to IT. It's unfortunate for Josh but RCH wants to be set up to win next year and this is a head start....just a little food for thought...didn't Peick test the KTM for Milsaps last year......Whistling

At a glance, Josh had several top 10s and two top 5s in 450MX 2008.

Been a big Hill fan since he rode broome-tioga after loretta's and hit the podium with a 2nd place finish in the 2nd moto. I hope he gets a ride this summer, would be sweet to see him back on a Yamaha...

JGR said they need best guys available.. soo.. Hill will put better results than Grant Brayton or any fill ins.
Joining now Hill would make good team with Barcia for next SX season.

The deal with Peick was being worked on behind the scenes for a little while to replace Tickle while he was out with injury. Hill's issue just came up recently within the last two weeks, whatever it was caused RCH to make a fairly quick decision regarding his future...IT's main purpose is to help get the bike setup for their new yet to be named rider that some people choose not to believe that a deal is done without a presser.....

Yeah his name was suspiciously vacant from those interviews... And it's publicly stated that he works on the bikes.
