DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
had the trickest CZ ever.
And a set of front forks that worked like vasaline on a mirror.
When he told me the secret, how he got the old front end working like no other, I was shocked.
It was so simple.
And it's a secret.
I had my crank balanced (it's not actually balanced because it's a single cylinder but the annoying frequencies occur at an rpm that you do not operate in) for my '13 KTM 250SX and it runs very smooth. Very little vibration. It vibrates nothing like a stock 250SX.
The trick jetting stuff: people from Red Edmonston to Yoshimura have built all sorts of emulsifying needles and other fancy carbs and parts. The general idea is to atomize better and for a while needles were being produced that had the fuel go up the center of the needle and exit thru very fine holes all around. I personally saw it work extremely well on Kevin Schwantz's personal 1995 GSXR750 way back in the day that was a street bike. But it was hard to set up and temperamental which is why generally technology like this never found mass production or acceptance.
If you are familiar with the APT Smartcarb, it is mostly just a combination of those best yet old ideas that have been refined. In fact the owner of APT was a close personal friend of Red's.
I had a friend growing up who taught me everything he knew about racing dirt bike's. You guys telling me you learned it all by yourselves.... Sound like bullcrap to me... Cancerman I rode a 1987 cr500 back in the day and it vibrated like hell on a mx track... If the bikes are so vibration free why is their so muck anti-vibration technology out there???????
Toolmaker you said 10 or100's of hour of r&d and that information is expensive. Where did Honda get this money for this technology. You and me and every rider who bought one of their bikes and if they have tech that improves on these bikes and their just sitting on it I think that sucks....Crazy Rooster125
It's a secret!
Secondly, your comment "if you own a CR, they owe it to us"....Nobody owes you shit, pal. You sound like one of those protesting fast food workers.

Usp4u Honda doesn't even make 2-strokes anymore so why keep the secret. I've never owned a bike with a balanced crank, but I've rode a couple that were balanced and yes they did vibrate less, but they still vibrated some...The works Honda's I'm talking about were suppost to be vibration free not vibrate less... Why is it when someone post something you disagrees with you get all insulting... If you don't like what I posted ignore it and when you post something stupid i'll try and ignore it..
To all you riders who have answered back with respect even if you disagree with me THANKS!!!!! Some of you want to start a fight over the internet..Take it to the track... I made this post to vent a little and throw in my 2 cents not have a verbal battle with people who assume your either stupid or a liar....Most of you talk shit because you are shit.. Not one of you got where you are with out some help from someone so why wouldn't you help someone else.
Sorry about throwing some shit back at some of you, but don't throw it at me and I wont throw it back at you....

Pit Row
As Suns PSD also mentioned, I can guarantee it is some sort of powerjet set up. Nothing too fancy. Find a decent two stroke mechanic and he will explain it.
As for the cold showers, if you paid attention, you would have understood exactly what Enketchum was talking about. It was actually quite amusing !!
A smart carb or a lectron or even a genesis big air carburetor might be better, but I've never seen a review of one on a 07 Honda cr125 same thing with a scalvini pipe for my bike. I don't want to buy something expensive and hate it. I'd like to find a 35 millimeter kehini carb (if they make that size) and get it taper bored up to 39 millimeter .. I think that might give my 125 a good low end with a killer top end As far as Enketchum comments go I don't get it. If you get it please explain I though it was sarcasim so I gave it back....
