Randy_Nix Added a reply to How do you teach ‘intensity’?
9/27/2022 9:13pm Just my opinion here, most guys ride at a high intensity in their ow respects but dont know how to channel it into speed. Injuries made me quit riding 7 years ago so turned to SxS's and went pro doing that. I learned to relax my heart rate and be smoother while setting the same lap times. Then, when i...

8/27/2020 8:31am Dr. Tooma is your guy. he did an amazing job on my shoulder after i ripped a plate out of my collar bone in a crash. I needed 3 cadavers and a partial reconstruction. i have full range of motion now and i couldnt be happier. also he put a couple screws in my ankle back in 2013. i was...

Randy_Nix Added a reply to Taller rider setups??
1/21/2017 6:47pm I'm 6'4" and I run standard height pegs and the lowest bars I can find. tall bars keep me in a stood up position and I prefer the head of bars attack position. I guess its all personal preference though
Randy_Nix Added a reply to Broken Collarbone Question
10/23/2016 5:55pm i would definitely get it checked out to be on the safe side. or give it a week or 2 to see if it gets better. i ripped a plate out of my collar bone at 14 weeks. i lost a half inch off the end of my collar bone, bone graph, cadaver tendons, only half an AC joint now...

10/23/2016 2:58pm Here's what happened when I filled my exhaust with water and froze it. The method worked pretty good despite splitting the weld

10/16/2016 1:04pm Jeremy rode absolutely awesome! It was a pleasure having him in our pit. Lori at Glen Helen even gave him a brand new set of tires for his effort (which barely fit in the civic) lol great job man!
Randy_Nix Added a reply to Unreal.... Jeremy Burton
10/12/2016 1:01pm it sounds like he's solo and I don't think you can fit much more than the bare minimum into a civic haha side note, one of my friends that's helping me pit, grew up in the same area of new York that Jeremy is from! small world

Randy_Nix Added a reply to Factory bike weights
10/7/2016 9:23am i think these factory teams can beat the minimum weight. i think they get the bikes as light as possible then add the weight back on is an area on the bike that makes the rider more comfortable. but if they dont do that, then i think its a good idea imo

9/29/2016 6:03pm im at 1200 ft. elevation. i had a 420 main jet with a 27.5 pilot 2nd clip on the needle and 1.5 out on the air screw. i just changed to a 390 main jet on the 3rd clip on the needle and its waaayy crisper and pulls way harder. it honestly surprised me. the 420 MJ was way too...

9/27/2016 8:31am I went to my local dealer and picked up a Honda wrist pin. if that didn't work then the crank assembly was going to come back out. luckily for me the Honda pin fit with the vertex bearing. it was a little tight but im comfortable with the way it went together. thanks for the help guys!

9/25/2016 11:25am I am a machinist lol just don't have to proper equipment to modify the rod myself. all signs lead to the I.D. on the rod end being too small. I thought about doing the freezer trick but im afraid that when everything warms up and the metal expands, it will create an interference fit and create too much heat. or...
