I hate race secret's

How many of you would keep a race secret??? A guy on thumpertalk built a killer mugen Honda cr125. A 92 mugen motor on a 97 transmission in a crf frame and he tells all about it even shows pictures, but he says he's using a 1990 cr250 screwtop carburetor with a special jet he's used since 1990 and didn't tell what it is. NINO talked how great the jet is in improving the jetting....Why not let the cat out of the bag. His knowledge might help a lot of riders with their jetting....No way I'd keep that a secret.

Even if you was my arch rival I'd tell . I'd rather beat someone fair and square than win because I know a secret..

One more thing I read somewhere Ricky Johnson talking about Honda's 1982 or 1983 work's bike's having no vibration and he wouldn't tell the secret... If this technology really work's we the people deserve it. If you own a cr they owe us that technology. I'd love a vibration free 2-stroke how about you?

HONDA doesn't deserve his loyality. Honda punked out of 2-stroke racing and any secret's they have I wish WHOEVER knows them would tell em especially 20 year old secret's.. This applies to all race secret's of any company. Crazt Rooster125

Some probably non-competitive guy building a vintage bike says he has a secret that he won't share with you....and that pisses you off? Lol. Secrets are either too good to keep or not good enough. I think 20 year old secrets would be out by now if there really was one. I also believe that THINKING someone has a secret is worse then not knowing their secret. It's called head games; and somebody got into your crazy rooster head!

I wouldn't help a guy like you, if I found out this is the type of shit you would do if I didn't tell you what jet I am running.

You are up shits creek with no paddle.

Figure it out yourself man.

Why the anger?? Iceman449 you don't even know me. one more thing I'm good at jetting my bike and if I was racing you and your bikes jetting was off id still help you so I could stomp you proper and you won't have a poorly jetted bike as an excuse.

Crashnburn11 your probably right about Ricky Johnson. Thanks for the friendly reply.....

Motoxdoc I commented on race secrets and you imagined so much more. Did you even check to see if I'm right about the 82 or 83 works Honda's??

Wreckitrandy your right I'm not owed anything but if it true those bikes didn't vibrate I hope someone figures it out and let's it out.. Crazy Rooster125

Hey Bro, Rick Johnson was on Team Yamaha in 82 and 83. He didn't get to Honda until 86 and then it was a production bike..

Your name fits you to a tee.......

I would assume the crank was just really well balanced in the Honda, is that such a huge secret? Actually, I take that back, Honda must have used a special electronic vibration canceling device (EVCD) on those bikes that completely took all vibration away. Don't tell anyone ok. And since I know a certain member loves these jokes, different muffler bearings can have a huge effect on motor vibration.Wink

You need to change your brake light fluid.

And measure the bore and stroke the Johnson Rod
2/12/2014 7:42pm
Vibration free? you have to remember how often those bikes were taken down and parts replaced. When was the last time your main bearings were replaced? when was your crankshaft balanced? Have you had your gearbox deburred and peened/tumbled? The simple fact is those aren't your average bike or engine.

Vibration? Ride Engineering rubber bar mounts, Tag XT-1 Handlebars, Renthal Kevlar Grips, blueprinted motor, balanced crank. There's a lot you can do.

jm485 the motors were works and they were suppost to be vibration free. As far as muffler bearings. Someone will need to pull it out of your ass first.

Enketchum Brake light fluid really that's the best you got.

The bike's were suppost to be vibration free beyond all the stuff xnationalwrench said.... I just wanted to comment on race secrets not read a bunch of crap from mental defectives.Crazy Rooster125

Angry?

Not at all.

I think its just crap that you come to another board to whine about it.

Man up, figure it out and move along.

No one owes you anything. Especially Honda or another competitor.

You need to drill a bunch of holes by hand in your brake stay arm and rear sprocket. You'll sleep better tonight.

I rebuilt a blown 03 RM125, crank kit, replated cylinder, etc. I have no detectable vibration thru the bars, per se. I do have a 5 oz. flywheel weight and rubber bar mounts with pro tapers on it. If your 125 vibrates, I think somethings wrong. I also just rebuilt an 87 CR500, and it hardly vibrates at all. It does have rubber bar mounts stock. That's one of the bikes Johnson was riding during his Honda years. No secrets there, FWIW

If someone spent 10s or 100s of hours testing components,
why do you think that information should be free to you?
Information is valuable, maybe you should offer to buy the information.
Of course he may not trust you to keep the information secret.

Picture brings back memories of my first Maico.

Stackable's mechanic Gunther brazed a spoke on to the rear brake arm and ran an inner tube "rubber band" down to the rod attached to the axle to help bring the brakes back to the neutral position on my 74 and a half 400 GP Maico. They arrived in the states right before Labor Day weekend of 74.
