RacerX: What are you going to report back to your guys back home? Same as I did to you. I don’t like James Stewart. He makes a goon rider of me, and I don’t like that. There’s nobody in the world – it can be the triple Stefan Everts – that can stay with him here. RacerX: I think he won the first moto by like 56 seconds... I’ve never... He was one minute and six seconds ahead of me, and I’ve never gotten beaten in the sand by more than 30 seconds by anybody. Ever. And he was just playing, man! I don’t understand that.

I like how honest he is. He's like the anti-Reed.

Hell ya........ i dig this Marc guy a lot..... his utter honestly is so refreshing..... and while he got pwned yesterday, it's quite obvious it did NOT sit well with him and he won't get pwned like that again... the top American's have all reverted to being Bubba's second place bitches, De Reuver seems to have too much fire in his belly for that....

I'm liking Calimero after I watched the pre-race show with him and Bubba. He's got a good attitude and sense of humor. The "I'll be chasing Superman's cape" line he came up was great.

That is a good read.

When Speed TV interviewed him before the first moto , he seemed VERY nervous.
He said his heart was beating very fast. I also wonder how much sleep the guy got the night before the race, if he was that nervous.
Any of you guys that have ever raced...
Know that nerves can wear on you just as much as putting in hard laps.
And not getting the right amount of sleep and wear you down also.

I think he did great.

Marc was a funny guy to talk to, and seemed like a very straight-shooter. The sport could definitely use some more guys like him.

I bet he had arm pump when he walked out of the hauler....

I hope he does well in the Des Nations.... he deserves a good showing.

I don't think we saw the best he can do by a long shot.

Hey I have to say with a guy like that I can understand how the euros would be such avid supporters. He's a good guy and gained alot of fans with his attitude and I am sure he will catch alot less flack on the boards.

Treat him right euros cause we would love to have him racing over here.

I can think of a lot of GP riders that are 'straight shooters' as you would put it, but they don't have to deal with the US motomedia. You only need to look at the meal the guys at RacerX made out of Marcs fairly straight forward assessment of his chances, to see that it wouldn't take long for guys like him to learn to shut thier mouths. He came over so respectfull and yet still got a kicking lol, imagine if he actually did said something disrespectfull, they'd have had a total meltdown.
