yup, and allegedly riding a Kawasaki and a KTM :-) and why not he has a luxury of choosing whichever manufacturer he likes (who can provide him a factory bike) ....

Because not a lot of people on Vital like Honda ...it seems...

I would like to think Honda sees value in TwoTwo staying on Honda but perhaps Reed has put a stake in the ground and said provide me 2 factory bikes so I can get another rider on my team (Waters from Ausstralia?) ...and Honda have previously balked at doing this.

The fastest Chad Reed on a 4 stroke I recall.....2 seasons ago while chasing Villo and when he rode Yellow. I think Chad Reed on RCH would be a match made in happy motorcycle racing heaven.

Valli was never really dead. Matthes said they're talking to Cunningham and Pourcel... but forget the Yamaha deal, Reed was testing KTM and Kawi... We'll find out in 2 months.

If he was testing a KTM, then I think there's only one logical answer: BTO. Think about it; the team has been looking to fill the void JT left when he retired, and I'm sure he still has connections with the team. He puts in the good word for Chad with the higher ups and BOOM! Shorty has a new teammate. Speculation sure is fun!

That makes a lot of sense. If not BTO, some other retailer.
22 spent a good while and money building a brand, but there is no real product behind it to support the expenses.
I'm sure that ledger sheet is scary. Licensing a brand can only cover so much.
Still, props to Chad for giving it a go basically solo. I'm sure running a team and being the marquee athlete took its toll on his passion of focusing on racing results. I hope moving responsibilities gives him what he needs to give it another serious go in 2014.
