Why has nobody commented on what bobbym said, instead of saying all the other crazy ideas, it would make sense some sort of sense as to why France would pass on Musquin !!!! Is this some inside stuff Bobby you've heard or are you just throwing out crazy stuff like the rest of these vitards

It is the 2013 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations (should be Motocross des Nations)

Do you realize how many more riders are sponsored by RedBull than just Dungey and Musquin?

Didn't say he has. Still rather see Mitch running the team. All the riders are Americans why not the Manager ??

You have to be out of your mind! Do you even follow this sport at all?? Do you know WHO DeCoster is?? He is an American citizen, lives and has lived in America for decades, works in America, files taxes in America and is a legend in motocross. I am a big believer and supporter of Mitch, his products and the way he runs his team but Mitch is usually a big part of the team and I'm sure he is just fine with Roger managing the team.

What the fuck are you smoking, dickweed?
He's not a red blooded American born in the USA asshat that's my point.
Regardless put Mitch in charge.

Speculation: the uninformed and unhelpful empty headed musings that flow into any vacuum when there is zero actual information.
No shit! A lot of that around here lately... and pretty much all of Davis' threads.

Okay, now that we have that hand photo cleaned up (bad Czernik)...

As I understand it, RV is likely out for this year's edition. He loves the MXoN. He also loves representing the U.S. But, he also has a bunch of plates and screws in his previously injured leg, and is looking at a post-season tune-up surgery. Given the timing of the race, which is well after the U.S. season ends, it makes for bad timing in trying to get that handled, and still try to get in stuff like testing and prep for next year.

So who replaces RV? That's being worked out now. But I wouldn't be shocked if the nod went to Justin Barcia. The AMA is working hard to put together the best possible team.

As for Roger and needing someone "American"... How much crap do you 'spose he's gotten from his native Belgians for leading Team USA over their many victories? I'm guessing there's no one that loves the MXoN more than Roger, or has had more involvement in it, both as a rider and manager. 'Nuff said.

That sucks RV isn't going to be on the team.

Barcia being next on the list in points makes sense.
I guess after Barcia .....Stewart then Canard then Alessi or Short would be the picks (in that order as of now).

Are they going to just wait until the end of the season to pick a guy to replace RV?

Sure, it sucks, if that's how it plays out. Note, I did say "likely" out.

As for the timing of a pick. I'm sure it has to be worked out with the rider's team that they'll be able to provide the necessary support, etc.

Based on current form, Stewart does look like the best option. Barcia deserves it though.

I'm a bit bias but I'd send Stewart over Barcia at this point. Either way, this weekend just got a little more interesting.

(1) hopefully there is a bouncer at the door when some of Euro's finest come barging in this message board claiming that Villopoto is "afraid" to race whomever;

(2) James Stewart is my sentimental choice, I don't care if he wins or not.

Barcia hasnt won a national or a moto yet, Stewart would be a HUGE draw for that race.

Wonder if Suzuki would pop for the bike transport though? Of course I am assuming that James wants to go if he is asked?

I think I read DeCoster became a US citizen in the early Eighties.

His son served in the US military. He is an American, period.

What I cant figure out is why he still has such a thick Flemish accent after 30 years here....

Villopoto is currently the fastest rider in the world, but I'm glad that it is him who can't go rather than Tomac because there is much more depth in the 450 class.
