There's been great results for ALL
3 guys currently riding Factory Hondas
using the hydralic system,
so take what you will from that.
Jumping to conclusions is like dumping the clutch!
Haha...
Certain wisemen LOVE the Hydro; because, it takes the "adjustable wheel of doom" out of the rider's hand. LITERALLY.
As I recall, some riders can't leave the clutch adjuster Alone; so, the best thing to do is run a clutch that the rider can't adjust to death.
I've been through this with a few riders. Bullet-proof clutches, hydro-systems or a thump on the head is the only fixes I've found.
I LOVE my magura hydraulic on my 07 crf450. Wish I could afford A: New crf450 (I am a die hard honda guy), and B: the honda hydraulic nissin clutch and required hardware (cases, etc)
GuyB clearly wanted to open those can of worms for you-And hence your post....Oh dear it is so expensive you need cases etc etc WHY ? Does team Honda get better results with Hydro or Cable " Trey dug the change. " Seems not seems like the reverse actually ? Not conclusive ver tongue in cheek I know actuall no real deference so again WHY ? Cos it is more exotic and expensive if that adds to your ego and you ride faster then good for you ! Less feel and another layer removed from the control of your machine - Maybe install an auto gearbox plis I am sure we can make it very expensive so that everyone thinks it is important - Not actually necessary is the actual observation here .
As for reliability there's no way you'd convince me that a cable clutch is more reliable. Hydraulic brakes have been around for years and no one complains about their reliability.
