What a bummer! He is a great dude to argue with, he is willing to take just as much shit as he gives and sometimes sends a PM just to make sure there is no actual offense taken. You're a good dude, Teefus-keep your head up and get well soon!

Doc,
The only other details I could gather is I believe it happened sometime on Friday per his brothers post on Friday.
He is at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis,TN.
His brother hasn't updated since.
So I suppose no news is good news with this stuff and the first 24 hours can be the most critical.
I hope he is on his way to doing better.

Steve's one of the good guys and for a time was an agent of change in this sport. Thinking positive with prayers for Steve.

I still have one of his T shirts, I met him at an RV park coming back from Sturgis. He welcomed me into his rig and was as nice as could be. A true pioneer of the sport. Get well

I just got off the phone with his brother Mark who is at the hospital. Prognosis is grim I am sad to say.

Steve was actually in the hospital for his stomach when the heart attack happened. Unfortunately he was not hooked up to any monitoring equipment as he was scheduled to have his stomach checked out on Friday. The issue Steve thought was stomach related last week obviously was his heart.

They don't know how long he laid there before he was discovered but they learned he had two blocked arteries and as a result suffered heart damage and brain damage. Adding this to his on going stomach issues Mark said things are stacked against Steve at this point.

I will provide more information as it becomes available.

PS We were traveling companions and roommates last fall at the MXoN and I pray I will see my friend again. We had a great time then and I am hoping against hope there will be more good times in the future.

I just got off the phone with Mike, Steve's brother, asked me to let you all know, that they are taking Steve off the ventilator, and I am absolutely devastated to tell you that it's not good. If you have notes or messages or pics to pass along to Steve's family please send them to sondy132001@yahoo.com and I will pass them onto Mike. Steve's cell is locked so it's hit or miss if his brother can answer it or not.

Oh man. I wish this pain of mine could help him in some way. I just wish those doing something for him right now, whomever they are or what they are doing, as friends and family next to him find their way, strength to endure. His Docs', nurses etc find that extra will and power, take that extra coffee or whatever they might be missing, and that his body manages to endure.

I know it's personal, but this is the worse thread I have ever read on this place, and I come here for joy, to get away from crap.
