Who did he ask ? or Does Kawasaki have Radio Communication with the AMA ?
I always thought you had to get an official to remove a rock or what ever not ask permission , not to mention the wiping down of the sign on the gate was a rock stuck on there too ?
Funny thing is........everything RV does is put under a microscope.....because the camera is always on him. Wonder if any other mechanics have done things like this and no one gave a shit?
" Some controversey stirred up after the race when a shot on the SPEED TV broadcast showed Ryan Villopoto's mechanic Mike Williamson reaching in front of the starting gate to removed a rock. This is considered illegal in the AMA/FIM SX rulebook, as "farming" in front of the gate is not allowed.
We've heard two stories so far as to why this was okay on Saturday night. From the Villopoto camp, we heard that there was a big rock in front of RV's gate, and Williamson asked for permission to move it, and permission was granted by the race officials (we also hear Justin Barcia's mechanic did the same). Our Jordan Roberts checked in at the AMA trailer after the race and they added that no formal protests had been filed, anyway, and the official protest window had closed. So, the results stand as they were."
Soo....the mechanic had permission and he moved the little rock. No other riders , teams , mechanics , ect complained.
That premission and grooming could be protested, but no one did. Learn to read....
Pit Row
Oh, gotta give props to 500guy for that pic....I thought Polaroid went out of business.
RV broke a rule, permission or not, received an unfair advantage nobody else was allowed to do. And should have been penalized a lap in accordance with the rule noted above.
This is a non-topic.
BTW....that dirt had so many rocks in it , it was crazy. Looked like a lot of little ones.....still made the dirt look funky. Bet it didn't feel to good following someone either.
I'm saying who did he ask and removing a rock doesn't include what ever he did in front of the gate and to the sign that is clearly in front of the gate.
Rules were broken here, Nobody did anything about it.
I find it kind of funny how some of you guys grasp at any straw there is to try and deduct points or ruin RV's credibility any way you can. Goes back to the pass on James "After" the red cross flag.........even a friggin' video wasn't enough for some of you guys.
