Raced there in mid 80's maybe earlier but I do remember canyon was my very first gate drop using individual backwards falling gates. The most strangest gates,at the time, to try and out guess. Deer Valley was another track in that area I remember it was a spread out natural track.

I remember the Hollands racing in the real early 70s, 3 of them I may be mistaken, george running mini class and fast in and around calf. If this is the same guy at the time his brother Sammy was a force to be dealt with also? Man those were the days.

It was an act just to get into the other riders head, as if RV needs it and roughing the plastic matters, and to get them to think about what he was doing to give his rider an advantage. Maybe his mech was working towards bigger bonus $$.

As we age some become pron to Raynaud's syndrome fingers and later on toes. When the fingers tingle to the point they turn black then problems really stand out. Probably not the problem but a thought Mine have turned black even on 50deg plus days.
