I've been around the boards for a while, but always a lurker. Thought I'd join up and share some moto pics I've taken.

To answer your question about the screen name... I'm a member of several boating forums and my boat is pink... and has been dubbed the PInk Taco.

Grew up riding there, man has it changed!

Even though I live in beautiful Reno 911( thanks army) I still consider my self from AZ! Can't wait to bring my bike down and give it a go next time I actually make the drive down!

I caught a few videos on YouTube of it and couldn't believe it!

95 to 2001 I was there almost every Wednesday and Saturday night for practice. I can close my eyes and still do laps there, but, that is completely different from the way it was back then.

I take it Zack doesn't run it anymore?

Nice pics Pink! Grew up racing Canyon myself and was just out there the other day, the track was epic. That's local boy Austin Hanson whipping it in your top pic. Super cool, fast kid that rides for us at TNT Racing.

So, I looked Canyon MX up on Google Maps. Looks like a great facility with lots of room. Would it be a good place to host a pro national? Based on the pics above, they would need to pick the rocks out (like Broome Tioga) but it seems to have killer soil, lots of room, and good location close to Phoenix. Also from the pics above, it seems to have natural elevation changes we all like.

Looks like there are 2 large MX tracks? One is lighted and may be flatter.

Canyon would need a lot of upgrades to be able to handle that kind of crowd, but it certainly has the potential to host a large event like that. There is plenty of room to expand the current track. Right now there in one main track, a GP style track and a mini/vintage track. It would be cool to see some big events show up at Canyon. We are running out of tracks in AZ unfortunately.
