Prop 999: make 250f the premier class, reduce the 450f to 350f and make it a support class. Sound crazy? This is how is was in the 70s. 250 2 stroke was the main event and 500 2t were for vets and guys too big for 250s. Factory 250fs are making 48 hp so what is the point of 450s anyway?
Replace 250f as a feeder class with 125 2 t maybe combine it with the chick class.

WMA 6 rounds
125 Nationals 6 rounds
250
450
But considering that by the time the outdoors gets rolling and the fact that many of the top guys are already injured by the third round, maybe make the 450 class 6 rounds and the 125 class 12 rounds. How many rounds did the "open" class used to run in the past?
Was just talking to a fellow moto fan who said he hasn't hardly watched a race since Stewart got injured and Dungey started running away with them all. Not the first person I've heard that from. Thankfully the 250 class action is off the hook.

Really this season has been one of the hardest for me to keep up with simply because after Stewart was out you had a pretty good idea about who was going to win both moto's.
I think everyone already knows the 2s ought to be allowed in, but the AMA and Honda have choked it out, and hopefully can stamp it out, for good.
I would think blanket statements are better than hashing it out all over again. I think there will come a day in the near future where we will all be in agreement over the state of the sport.
Bring back the 125's. The only women I'm interested in watching, are the ones that can qualify and run with the guys. That impresses me.
250cc any stroke
"chick class"... oh, that's grand!

That's some negrodamus level shit.
i agree with the rest of your story though....... i believe the mini scene is absolutely DEAD.
i just did a carb clean on my KLX110 the other day.....havent even ridden it in 2 years.
as far as 250f's being the premier class....never would work because the smaller riders would have a major advantage...some guys are just too big for a 250f to pull them around a big track
My view is that the manufacturers will eventually demand a 350 class because they can't keep spending money on riders who podium once or twice and then sit out the year with injuries.
Do you think Derek and Saye would have a shot at riding the whole outdoor series as privateers on 250f's. They either wouldn't be fast enough bikes, or their practice and race bikes would be toast before the end of the season.
The fact that a privateer can take a 450 with a suspension job and top 10 a national outdoor race is reason enough to love the bikes.
125 two stroke fuel injected.
250 two stroke fuel injected.
That's all.
Excellent input thanks.
