is going up, the guy shines when the pressure is on. I realize he got a bad start in moto 1 and hit a tree last week but the guy is doing really well down the stretch. He is going to 450s next year??? Too bad he did go down last week, we could have a title fight between him and Baggett, seems pretty far out right now.

It wouldn't be too hard to imagine Eli getting "Called up to the Bigs" on the "Opposite-Coast" during SX next yr if they need him...
I know Baggett is riding smart, but last week Tomac was riding better than any one, and that last moto his momentum around the entire track was unreal, he is definitely riding the best right now.
Then, the Question is:
Does Eli have a "100 point" capability in him these next 2 weeks?
'Cause, if he does...and the rest of these guys, namely Blake and Justin, keep bouncing around the Top 5-10...well...
And Eli did that LATE in the day.
Blake hasnt really been floating around the top5-10 . that's been barcia the last 3 out of 4 motos
..and one of the nicest "family's" out there. Good people!

As for Baggett, he has everything to lose. He has a commanding lead and he knows that he is good enough to finish top 3-5 without really working too hard to close out this championship. There are two rounds left and I am glad to see that BB12 is riding smart when compared to last year.
Baggett hasn't had a problem of any sort yet, even with his normally bad starts. Maybe his one bad race is coming? That would make things really interesting.
Not that this matters, as its just coincidence, but as soon as Bell joined the team, Eli has shown more speed and
determination. The whole Geico team is fast, With 5 riders now in the 250f class, I think they need to start thinking about
limiting a team size to no more than 4 riders. They must have HUGE budgets!!
Harder and harder for small teams, and privateers to compete.
Keen to see him race a 450 outdoors but he is young so why rush into it.
I like his crouching tiger ridding style!
