My dealer doesn't sell honda's so for me that is out but I do think it is a great bike. I don't want a yamaha so my choice would be RMZ or KX . I don't k ow much about either of the 12 KTM 's.

You do know, you can go to other dealers, Right? Obama has not mandated the use of a single dealer.. Yet !

I'm a diehard Honda guy and have an 06 and 09 crf450 which I believe are the two best recent years of that bike. I had a chance to ride both 2012 CRF and KXF450 and felt way more comfortable on the Kawi. It tracked so damn good and throttle control was effortless. If I had the dime to spend, I'd go green this time around.

CRF, no doubt.

the RMZ comes in behind pretty close though..

RMZ, because they turn on a dime.
Would not buy a KTM, they always have problems in my area.

Honda...for the weight.

It's the lightest...its the one I'd buy.

The new Honda should be interesting, I read its LOTS better then the 2012... Im willing to bet the frame is now perfect and the bike is light and it has a hydaulic clutch OEM to boot!

Riding style, height weight?,intended use, race. practice, playride? Great bikes really all of them , but a 12 450 model , kawy, rmz,crf top 3, Plan on keeping it stock, how long do you intend to keep it. IMO, i think the crf will be the most durable , keep in mind resale value, rebates, dealer service, with parts, I have a newer rmz and a 12 kawy and they are both great bikes. Yea bikes are out there, just gotta drive for what you want sometimes. Or maybe have it shipped. If you want it bad enough.

I'd buy the KTM because all of them are way faster than I can ride them and I like the way the KTM looks, I like the way KTM supports the sport with all their hearts, and it has e-start.

The Honda because it is the lightest , and I think looks the best, plus I have a dealer nearby.

Call Jeff at SLH.

You'll never need another dealer.

CRF, it's all I've ridden ever, except the time I owned a KX250 which by the way ruined me on Kawasaki.

I can go to another dealer and I have that is where I got my ktm 250 but my good friend owns a yamaha,Suzuki , kawasaki dealership and they really hook me up. I am 5'7 and weigh 160 pounds. I had an 07,08 and 09 kx450 and loved the motors and u also had an 09 RMZ 450 I got new in 2010 and I think that was the best handling 450 I have ever owned. Is the 12 KX that much better handling than the 09-11?

A big part of the reason I'd choose KTM also.

YZ because I am sponsored by yamaha.

The only other bike I would even consider would be the CRF.

2012 KX450F is the best bike out right now.....

I'd take an RMZ as a second choice, CRF a distant third, and wouldnt touch a YZF for many reasons.
I'd only take a ktm if it were FREE, but then I'd sell it and buy a KXFWink

Sweet bike but the red looks out of place. I would change it asap.

I'd get the one that traded 200ccs for having the spark plug fire every revolution. Maybe even an orange one!
