I've never been more comfortable than I was on my 1983 YZ125. Gorr did the engine and it was great! It didn't win the shootouts back then, but for some reason I've never "gelled" with another bike like I did that one. That's why it is my avatar...

I rode plenty of bikes I liked, but that old 125K has a special place in my "gray matter"!

Several friends have liked bikes that others never could adjust to. What bike do you miss/appreciate most that gave you the best satisfaction?

I really like my 08 YZ450F.... so smooth and balanced. Alot has to do with the suspension im sure but still very stable geometry from what I can tell. I also liked my 06 crf250 super balanced! I also currently have a 2011 Kx250F which is very fine but not as refined as the other 2...

1988 CR250. Everyone claimed that it was a step backward from '87 but for some reason I reached another level the day I started riding it. Everything about it fit me just right. I never found a bike that worked as well for me after that.

1990 CR250, loved that bike!

I still remember the first time I got it "on the pipe". It was awesome.

I know it sounds corny but my '12 250sx is the most comfortable I've been in a long time, I haven't had it out to a really jumpy track yet though. I even like the stock suspension.

My 2002 CR250. The irony is I had one from 2002-2004 and never really like it. I went to 4 strokes in 2005 to 2010. Then bought a mint 2002 CR250 for 2011 season and loved it. Never have I felt so comfortable on a bike. I think because I am way better at setting a bike up now.

97 YZ 125. Good power for a 125 and a very stable good handling chassis. I have never been the most aggressive rider but I was comfortable charging obstacles on that bike more so than any other.

I had a 2001 YZ125 that never was "right" for me...

I feel that way when ever I twist the throttle on my 2010 CR500AF. But I would have to say I am more relaxed on my sons 04 CR250..

Although I've always considered myself a Kawasaki kind of guy, my 1992 RM125 would get my vote.

I loved it from day one. It just seemed to fit me like a glove.

I hear that. I bought an 07 KX450F about 3 years ago and was immediately at home, blown away by the whole package. I have had 3 more 07 models and an 08 since then. I am always scanning craigslist for clean low hout 07-08 (preffer 07) KX450F's. I have no interest in going to the fuel injected model. I have ridden them plenty and will say the 07 has a harder hit and more lively feel. On top of that I know of at least two guys who had to drop a small fortune on new fuel pumps for their FI 450;s. screw that. there is no advantage to FI and potentially a major financial penalty

Easily my '99 KX250. Bought from an enduro racer with heavy flywheel and quiet silcencer.. it was tuned down enough to be pretty enjoyable to ride and be comfy on. I'm tall and it fit me well. Have fond memories of a day in 2007 at a private track in Macon, ripping laps like I'd never done before. Sold it and bought a '03 KX125 which was too small, then a '01 RM125 which I still have.

My 97' KX 250. I had bad split up with my at the time fiance. I quit riding for about a 6 months as we were trying to work things out. I was going crazy not riding. She said if I got another bike that we were done. So I pulled up in a new truck and a new bike and out the door she went. With a guitar rip and a Thorogood song in the making. Best bike I ever bought and best bike I ever rode. I still have the bike. I just couldn't stand to part with it.

Ive talked about it a few times on here, but I was lucky enough to borrow a brand new 09' crf 450 for mammoth in 2010, and I can honestly say that I have never been so comfortable on a bike. The suspension, the throttle response, just everything was so plush...that bike allowed me to do things that I never thought id of been able to do...I just felt like I couldn't miss.

Ill tell you one thing for sure, it was hard giving that bike back.....

I wanted to get a 250 after racing 500's for a while but, had a tough time losing all that lovely low end grunt. The previous year I was spectating at a local gp and heard what I thought was a mini KX-500 torquing out of a corner that turned out to be a 97 KX-250. I found a clean used one my first year, back, in college and raced the snot outa that thing grinning ear to ear every ride.

Bought a brand new 2000 KX-250 but I didn't "gel" with it. They lost their magic that year with a gearbox riddled with false neutrals that revealed themselves at the most inopportune time. The bruise is still there12 years later.

I really liked my 96 RM 250 even with conventional forks. Took some time after first child and returned on a 06 CRF 450. I have since returned to a 01 CR 250. Not alot of time on the bike yet, but it is inherently more fun than the 06.
