That's not a motorcycle, it's a work of art. Bad ass.

Top notch work.

Now we need a vid of it in action.

What would one of the top 4 guys do on a bike like that on the right track?

Thats incredible.......I'll take it with a set of Fredette ice tires so it never sees dirt.

That is by far the nicest CR500A I have ever seen. Congrats on the build-awesome.

I use to ride the old one's how does this thing handle? The old Cr500 didn't handle well. Front end was tweaky.

Very nice dogger315. I just finished a similar project last year. I used an '06 450 frame but other than that, it's scary how similar our projects are. Mine has the same suspension and ti shock spring! If I was any good at posting pictures, I'd post a thread to show how much they really are alike! If you don't mind my asking, I'd like to know where you found your clutch and ignition covers. Mine are billet alum. and look nice but yours look more like something the factory HRC effort would have used. Thanks for sharing your build and keeping the interest in the smokers alive!

That thing is fantastic. What a sweet bike.

That is right up there with anything that came out of HRC. Maybe you could lend it to Stanton for the Vetrans of Nations MX. I would love to see a current pro do a test ride video on that thing too. Gibby?

Read this thread a second time...

It just seems so....Right!

I'd love to ride that thing well below its potential for a few laps!

That's really nice. I like it. Beautiful. I rode an aluminum framed CR500 in Japan some years ago.. It had Kayaba works suspension and a hand fabbed aluminum tank. I found the power band rather short and there was a bit of vibration felt in the pegs.. I was faster on my CR250 2 stroke on hard pack. I had an '87 CR500 which was a blast on a sand track like Southwick. I would have like to have seen a cylinder with an exhaust valve developed for the CR500 engine to help with the power.

HAHA Donnie you asked in that email if I thought the Vital crowd would like your bike...I believe from all the posts ive read thats a RESOUNDING hell yes!!! You just made my build seem like a broken down pit bike Smile Love the cleanliness of all your builds and the quality of photos you take. Keep up the good work and call me when you get back from Europe! Cheers
