Love Townley...he has the heart and will of a champion no matter what. Seems like a well spoken classy guy.

If the price was right a smart team would snatch him up for 2012. He would at least provide the type of positive exposure he did for TLD in 2010.

IMO, he is not welcome here in America. What he did to Shorty and the most important race of the season...was dirty and his VISA should be pulled.

Townly, welcome to CALI now go home...

get real, no worse to what Stanton did to some dutch guy in 91, its racing, or what any racer that wants to win will do,

if you leave a massive whole on the inside someone will eventually put a bike there,

I hope he does well at MEC. The guy has beaten all the big names in the past. Could do it again with the right conditions.

Or what Villopoto did to Roczen in France...

Hope Ben does well this weekend and is able to really kick on this season. Motocross needs him out there racing, wherever that may be.

All speculation, but I bet we see Townley on a Honda with 22 or MC/LB.

I dont recall Stanton taking anyone out in his first moto in Valks that day, pretty sure he won it also.
Van doorn was the only Dutch rider that day I can recall that even battled a tiny bit with Stanton.
Stanton had some trouble in that 3rd moto and came from far back and was the top 500 guy.
The Dutch were leading the event and Stanton passed him(Van Doorn) CLEAN and we won that day, from what I remember. Wink
It is possible he may stuffed their 250 rider on his way through the pack though, but I dont recall it.
I dont remember it being a big deal back then if he did indeed he did do it.

Kinda off topic...
But didn't 10 years later Van Doorn fail a drug test after the Sweedish GP?

So, so dumb.

I think a few people feel the same about you keeping your VISA to post here.

I personally think yours should be pulled.

IMO an outdoor only ride for TwoTwo Motorsports would be good for BT. Reed wants a top guy that can challenge him, Ben can outdoors, and he would also be quite cheap on an outdoor only deal.

The guy is fast when he's on 2 wheels. He can definately get some top 5's if he comes in healthy, focused, and on good equipement.
