I've been watching the Alessis practice and race for years. Night races at Glen Helen, which we went to just to see them. I've seen both of them ride and have a ton of pics of them riding, hell at a REM race at Glen Helen Jeff took my camera and took some shots, his bike is on the start line and he comes over and asks if he could take some pics.. Love that kid, has always been really nice whenever I see him. He has gone out of his way to talk to my daughter and I, so no disrespect is meant, but really Mike is just being nice to Jeff. I have Tony's phone number, want it and you can ask him which one of kids is top 3 potential? lol
My dad has Tony's phone number as well, want him to call him and ask what Tony thinks of Jeff's true potential if he worked as hard as Mike?

of course not. but i may be privy to the same info he is from time to time. which is besides the point.

in the interview, dave O stated that "red was the flavor of the month".........and so far, within my circle of friends, i havent heard any definitive info about what color reed will be riding next year.

there are still so many domino's waiting to fall. its been one of the weirder silly seasons ever. i figured that once bubba and dungey decided their routes, everything else would fall into place quickly. and despite everyone knowing about which colors they will be on next year, still much is up in the air due to the fact that their are so many prominent teams looking to change color (twotwo, motoconcepts, jgr), suzuki bowing out but still needing to find a home for metty, yoshimura possibly stepping in, the mc/brooks deal, L&M still trying to stick around, yamaha looking to save face, and now possibly a team alessi suzuki? (if we are to give ddavis any credibility).

teams changing color, demanding factory support or at least worx access, three mfg's jockeying for satellite teams, riders looking to jump ship, and mfg indecision about support etc......its a log jam. or maybe its no different than any other silly season. i dunno. it just seems crazier this year despite how stagnant the process has been.

You guys have never seen a non distracted jeff alessi, my full potential would never have been reached never riding and resting my feet, that video was my second day riding mx n 4th day on a bike, in 7 months! no feet problems and no distractions, 2012 will be a focused year, if I can be top 10 speed barely riding and always hurting since 06 then what can I be riding and training like a real guy? Wait n see. I havnt even seen the dim light of my true potential at the end of this tunnel, even I no that now!

Being lazy an having excuses get you no where, that's what I was, not who I'll be in 2012. Later.

On very rare occasions, Mike still has what it takes to be the fastest man on the planet for one day. Yes faster than Stewart, Reed, Villopoto, Dungey, Cairoli and not many others can say that (maybe Canard or a couple Euro guys) but he is definitely going downhill career wise. He needs to finally be in better shape every weekend and for the whole race without crashing his brains out and getting further behind and believe in himself more.

I think he has been trying really hard to reverse the impressions he gave off earlier in his career (when he used to boast about his speed, fitness, and try to stand on Tedesco's bike and shut it off). He's afraid to be aggressive now, you can see it when a guy like Villopoto gets anywhere near him or when he gets a bad start and has to slice through a lot of riders. Something looks to have neutered his desire to be #1. It could be injuries but when he came back from that Red Bud crash in 2008 he was the best he had ever been. There's still time for him but it's running out and others are catching up and pulling away.

Dungey to KTM?????
I would be willing to bet at this point that Dungey is not a done deal with KTM.. And if Dungey should end up on 22 Motorsports with Makita and Rockstar backing or close to that, I would not be surprised... From what I've heard 22 will be on Honda's, Again, with factory bikes....but, 22 is waiting on a outside sponsor to announce what there doing for next year. chad has commented in a interview that he wanted another rider and in one such interview he mentioned he was interested in having Dungey as "his" second rider.... since that time 22 has been quite as to what rider he would bring on, but has mentioned he was working on sponsors to pay for that second rider... just say'n!

If Dungey has signed with KTM... Why are they holding back on the big announcement?

Please correct me if there has been an announcement on Dungeys future team.

This post isn't about your daddy, it's about you spouting off that Jeff can be top 3.

I'll bet you a 100 bucks Jeff doesn't make the top 5 in AMA SX or AMA Nationals in 2012? If you don't like that one how bout if I lose, I'll give you a hundred bucks, if you lose, you don't post for a year?

Jeff says he is focused and ready to show his true potential, so sounds like I'm on the short end here... Go ask your daddy if you can take the bet and let me know..

I can do better than that ! Remember when Roncada left racing for a year almost ? He had never taken a break from racing since he had been on 85's, a lot like the Alessi's. They've never really let their bodies heal properly, even after some hard core accidents. Roncada came back and was smoking fast, he was the only guy in the 125's that put a tire on JS, it was amazing to watch, actually took JS by surprise as well. Jeff & Mike need a break, figure on their careers since peewee's has been non stop, well Jeff has taken off the time to properly heal himself and I think when he comes back we will all see the true talent Jeff really has !

Time off to get injuries healed is one thing..Top ten is realistic, top three no way in hell. If you have top three in speed your going to win some races. Do you really think he can beat the Ryans, Trey, James, Reed, and Windham? There is six really fast guys, he isn't beating any of those guys unless they crash or dnf..So tell me who he beats to get third? With the way the 450 class is right now top ten is really good. Really really good.

Jeff is the man but he has reached his full potential. He is as good as he is going to get and the same goes for Mike. The pace that RV and Dungey race at is above and beyond Mikes ability.
You guys have never seen a non distracted jeff alessi, my full potential would never have been reached never riding and resting my feet, that video...

Later.
What? Yer feet hurt and yer riding a ten speed? What!?!

Just kidding. Good to hear you're all fired up for the coming year. Go get 'em. Will you be on Mike's team and on Suzuki?
