OJ was my favorite football player when I was a kid in the 70's.
I even had the signature OJ Simpson football made by Wilson. When I wasn't looking, someone took a pocket knife to my beloved ball, slashing it up badly. Pretty sure it was little Otis, my next door neighbor who did it. He was jealous that I owned the ball and not him. He swore he didn't do the deed and vowed to help me find the real Wilson slasher. Four plus decades later and we still haven't found him.

And fame-craving Superior Court Judge Lance Ito repeatedly and infuriatingly fawned over defense lawyers while excluding evidence presented by prosecutors.
When it was done, Johnnie Cochran, the late defense lawyer and chief architect of the lunacy that set OJ free sued me as well as The Post for $10 million.
Because I’d suggested in print that Cochran was a liar.
Sanity prevailed after judges ruled that this was my Constitutionally protected opinion."

So a quick story. I lived in LA County back then and the OJ trial went on for 6 or so months. I got called for Jury duty during the middle of the trial timeframe at CCB (Criminal Courts Building) LA County which is the same court building the OJ trial was at.
Back then Jury duty for LA County was 10 court days or 30 calendar days, so you were there for some time.
All the cameras were outside and at lunch, all the lawyers, etc. So we would all go downstairs and outside to watch all the new interviews, etc. I made it into a few live shots on TV in the background.

The bronco chase I was on the hhg rig then. After work at the motel guys on the crew said . Check it out oj is running from the police. I said why do they run him off the rd ? I watched a minute of it & thought it was stupid.
