Just now watching the replay of Race Day Live and Stew is offering some excellent analysis of Red Bud with Chase and some mistakes he is making compared to Hunter with regards to vision.

Ricky has never offered anything like this and just regurgitates the same garbage over and over.  No comparison between Stew and RC and Ricky seriously needs to stay at home.

I read someone else's comments on Stew's analysis and have a question -

I may have missed part of the segment since I'm trying to do several things at once, but it looked to me like all the video of Sexton keeping his head down was when he was behind Hunter and he was doing that to avoid the roost. Did they show any of him out front without someone roosting him to compare it to so we could see if he was looking farther ahead?

Looking right in front of your bike seems like a such newb mistake that I can't imagine Sexton (or any National level rider) could ride at those speeds and have the reflexes to react to anything on the track. Heck, I ride at a pace that would make others wonder if I have 5 reverse gears in my bike and I can't do it without screwing up (or crashing) constantly.

Yes, they showed in a few different situations and he was not ducking roost.  He ran into one lapper in a corner and almost did it a second time.

Sorry bro....I am offering specifics as to why they need to have one ejected from the program....I am not complaining about too many breaks or interviews or random format complaints

10-4.

I saw one where they were making that 180 left and he almost clipped the downed rider, but he was still behind Hunter in that situation. Maybe I need to go back and see if he was out front without someone in front of him?

The other thing I don't get is how does JS know where his eyes are? I've dropped my visor many a time but still keep my eyes up where they were so I can see ahead.

Just seems like a total beginner move.

Yeah, I highly suggest going back to watch that portion.

James is excellent.  A little verbose, but I think he will get better as time goes on.

James is good when he’s talking race craft but you can tell he’s not really talking to riders or teams when it comes to bike setup and things like that.

That's actually up to JT in this case, but it would be cool if James dove into that as well and could reference it.  The teams are pretty tight lipped about that stuff which is ridiculous to me.  How would Kawi saying "we revavled the shock after practice to a different setting to calm down the rear end" give anything away to KTM??

Nothing is stopping James from talking to the teams. A good broadcaster does this kind of research IMO. my comment stemmed from him talking about hunters Honda on RDL. He mentions “Honda trying to make the chassis stiffer through clamps etc because they can’t modify the frame”. When it’s been widely reported with photo evidence Honda has been adding gusset ting and bracing to there frames for years now.

I didn't say anything was stopping him.  I did agree with you, but JT SHOULD be and really doesn't or so it appears.

Yea that’s be great if he did.

I just wanted to point out James’s gaffe and the fact he clearly doesn’t do his homework.

Everyone seems to universally love Stew, because he’s Stew! But I can’t help but notice how hit and miss he is with his analysis and predictions.
I mean he’s no where near as bad as R”he leaned over too far”C, but if you’re watching and listening carefully he does actually get things wrong regularly. However he’s quite adept at covering it up and explaining why things changed.
