I am certain he will improve, but I sure misjudged him and the Kawasaki team. And I really don't know if improvements will lead to contending for an outdoor championship or just podiums and a maybe win? Four world championships to this? I really hope Chase knows what he is getting into....

Panic button is on fire. Bike might not be perfect but he needs self reflection at this point.
The pace is much faster in America.

Looks like that red cross flag was out for Prado at about 10 minutes in moto 2

Did you watch MXoN 2024?
That? Pfft... that's different!
We don’t judge it off of one race.
We are not seeing 2-time MXGP champion Jorge Prado out there.
We are very much seeing moto 2 at 2024 MXON Jorge Prado. This is Prado at 80%. I’d say the panic button has been pressed. P-8 while blaming the bike is not what Kawi paid for.
Hope he's not back in the ER...
It’s definitely a disaster at this point for both Kawi and Prado. Sure hope they get it figured out.
Someone tell Prado, Anderson and Kawasaki this is the wrong end.
YES, on the panic button
I don’t think this is the best version of Prado. Time will tell how he can manage it and if he can check his ego at the door. Blaming the bike will get him nowhere fast, as we’re seeing.
I want to see Prado do well here in the states.
He is one of the fastest riders globally, stats don’t lie.
But, there is no question he is struggling right now. Hard to blame the bike for everything when there are other guys here from across the oond doing better on inferior equipment.
Id say continue to ride in your comfort zone and improve each weekend.
Not many, if any riders out there who can beat Jett. He is that Good.
Who actually does Factory Kawi 450 engines? In house or are they just out sourced to twisted like a high end 250 privateer team?
Its not the bike its a factory bike for christ sake. If he is struggling like this another 3-4 rounds panic button is in and SX is going to be even worse. IMO
Temu performance was what cooksey had mentioned. 🥷🏿🙈
Button pressed
Pit Row
I am beginning to think our riders(USA) go there to represent and just try not to get injured. Winning would be nice, but secondary.
Kawasaki can call Guillod, if he doesn't get fried from the weather, he's doing great on basically a stock Yamaha with Gazzy suspension and some Rock River ECU support.
Maybe a 450 outdoor deal and 250 Indoor deal with Team Green/Pro Circuit support.
Wait, why would he go to Kawi? He might go backwards.
In Europe the Kawasaki of Roman Febvre is an absolute torpedo, rocket on wheels. They develop the engine in-house at Iceone in co-operation with Akira. Not sure how the European bike relates to the US bikes.
I remember Jorge was so impressed with the Kawasaki when he just arrived and was saying to everyone it was the best bike he ever have been riding so not sure what's going on there..
I smashed it for him
Kinda, yeah.
Let's not forget Tomac left Kawi because they wouldn't change things on the bike. The bike he had more mechanicals on than any other bike.
There is no production rule in Europe.
Prado won both championships in Europe twice. Why would he stay there? And yet where could he go? Kawasaki USA seems his only choice, and a bad one. I hope he can keep his perspective and a decent attitude, otherwise he may go from one of the all time greats - if he stayed in Europe to just another midpack racer in the states with Savatgy, and Schock.
Prado looked better in the first 4 rounds of SX last year then he has at any point in 25, which is a bummer. Hope it starts clicking soon.
Maybe Jorge should ride this rumored new 2 stroke that Kawi is hiding so well.😄
Just got back from TV. I heard Prado say the one thing his bike did really well was staying stable down hills. Well, it looked stable alright, but because he was going about 10mph slower than the top guys. The downhill from the Thunder Valley sign was really telling. He also didn’t look as planted in the rutted corners, like his bike wanted to stand up on him. Not at all the same Prado I saw race in Spain.
Hope he’s able to keep progressing.
The one positive I’ll say is he’s still healthy and hasn’t crashed. He needs to stay cool, not panic, and keep learning. It will come.
