Before buying anything, check with your county/town/city to see if they will allow it.

Do your research.

And check the population of mx in that area. And see if it’s even worth doing, heard mx is on the decline of things right now. Same with skateboarding.

@-MAVERICK-  I will before I do it I got all that stuff just trying to see what areas are in need of one if there has been just a mass amount of people talking about not having anywhere to ride

Checkout your insurance options before diving in. But hopefully you get to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Check local noise Code before you buy: municipal, county, and state. Distance to residences is critical. I can help when you have noise questions, including finding Codes.

Jesus Christ can anyone just tell this dude what areas in Texas are in need of tracks?

Everyone complains about tracks closing, this dude wants to open one and all he gets is a bunch of responses assuming he’s an idiot.

Buy 3 Palms. It's for sale and already well established as the best place in the Houston area.

Could I interest you in central Illinois instead?

Houston area is not a bad call, good population and I think 3 tracks (3 Palms, Splendora, Rio Bravo)? I would get in touch with Zoom here on Vital as he is very knowledgeable about the area. I thought 3 Palms was pretty expensive, but that is an assumption on my part. I'm also thinking about "affordable" land, which makes Austin area tough. But regardless, best of luck and keep us posted!

Anywhere without a blue or green dot is a good place to start.

Help me out on the logic behind using this map to identify areas that would work well with a new track.  You mentioned blue and green dots, I don't think I'm color blind and not seeing any blue dots.

According to the map key (Top left corner), those are locations of EV Charging stations.

I think he means there are no blue dots unless we aren't seeing them.

What color are they to you?

I see:
 Level 1 = Blue
 Level 2 = Cyan
 Level 3 = Green

Different shades of green to me. Nevermind, I think we all get your point. Urban + EVs (non-ICE) = not filled with people who enjoy listening to a motocross track.

I would ditch Texas and move and build one in Northern KY so I don't have to drive over an hour to ride anywhere.

This thread is useless. A guy post a thread he wants to build a track in the biggest state on the map.

I mean wtf does he expect 50 responses from anywhere in the state ? Hell  build across the street from where I live in Euless TX,.

Be like where I'm from, just go balls in on building a track. Don't try to permit it, fuck noise abaitment, spend a shitload of money in it.

Proceed to get shut down immediately.

Ask for donations to put up a legal defense.

 Never open again.

I was absolutely thinking that I truly wanted to be closer to Houston for my work anyways so it’s definitely a option right now

I would I love 3 palms but I wanna open something different I want it to be better and I’d like to have at least one trail in it for trail riders so everyone gets to have fun also I’m not the biggest fan of the location they have had multiple break ins there.

I know you've all been patiently waiting for an update on this very important dot color debate. You'll all be thrilled to learn that after working on it around the clock, I've traced the issue back to the color settings I have on my work computer. I work inside a submarine and we use red lights in the control room which skewed the green shades in above.
