Has it been published anywhere what the attendance figure was over last weekend at Matterley Basin? They usually group Friday, Saturday and Sunday together. From the TV would estimate 25 to 30,000 over the event.
Matterley is always hard to quantify as the site is so spread out over both sides of the valley, unlike Ernee where 90% of the crowd are on one banking.
It was a good crowd but I’ve seen bigger at matterly , to be honest I think a lot of that was down to the weather forecast though ( wasn’t to bad in the end ) 👍
On TV it looked a bit down. Was one of my first impressions.
How much where the tickets? Did they have VIP or special pass tickets they had to of made 1-2 million in ticket sales alone.
General admission on Sunday was £160/$190 US paddock access extra £40/ $60US.
VIP started at approx £500 for Silver upto £935 for gold experience.

In the videos I saw it looked like about 1/3 as many people as are at Red Bud for the National every year.
About 25% of whatever InFront claim.

I paid 250€ for weekend ticket and paddock.
Crowd was big but i think when i went to MXoN 2013 in Germany that the crowd was bigger.
I attended the 2006 event and by the looks on the boob tube, there was twice as many if not more there than at this year's event. Wait till next year and it'll be nuts.
Around 150,000. At least that's what their marketing number will say. I'm sure their accounting number is much much smaller.

Oof, if that’s for full weekend like normally reported, that’s pretty low. Half the attendance of last year
I have been there in 2017 and now this year too. And judging from my personal impression this year there were way less people attending the race compared to 2017.
If I'm remembering right there was close to 80,000 for 2017. Certainly felt like that anyway!
i dont necessarily think ot was totally down due to the weather , as 2017 the weather was worse
it looked to me more than i expected, but i would most probably say its moore do with the cost
Keep in mind that MotoGP at Silverstone had a (relatively speaking) really low attendance this year. I think the official number for the Sunday was slightly over 40k which is really bad (worst attendance in the whole MotoGP series).
Out of international motorsporting events, F1 seems to be the only one that is doing really well. So with that in mind, i think the Matterly event had a pretty decent attendance and it looked like more people than last time?
65’000 @ the basic ticket price is £10.5m
Some will be concessions.
Whilst some will have paid the VIP prices.
There’s plenty of profit in it for Dixon.

I think the reasons for lower attendance at both MotoGP and MXON in the UK are the cost, and the fact there's no Brits in either MXGP or MotoGP. It's a pretty miserable time to be a UK bike racing fan 😐
Been to a few at matterly and I wouldn’t say it was low but not the highest by any means , as said above the weather forecast was shit , the price was high ( uks not the best financially atm ) and our riders aren’t what they were at the last one , that being said I think a good profit was still made 😂
Certainly wasn’t close to Erne last year I’ve never seen anything like that it blew my mind
Assumption of income without the assumption of expenses....ok....
By the time he’s paid luongos massive bung and covered all the additional costs he won’t have enough left over for a Mars bar .
Mind bending why he keeps dealing with it - nations / GP’s- It makes absolutely no financial sense whatsoever.
