Maybe Roczen should of held onto that KX450?

Someone said he never even rode it. Any truth to that?

Shoulda coudla woulda, Ken chose the bike and deal himself so he had to be happy with it for him to sign up, he just isn't that guy anymore and hasn't been for a few years now.

“Worst start of the supercross season”

You are clearly not very bright.

can you do us a favour?

Post here a list of Kenny’s last years Results up to round 6 and then post this years results up to round 6?

Thanks.

I think he could have been better at ClubMX with Yamaha. Bike rides similar to Honda but is better.

So here's my take. First things first, make sure you know where the thumbs down button is. I don't think Kenny had too many options/offers this off season. Yes he raced and won the prestigious 2 race World Supercross Championship on the Firepower Honda. He then tested a Clubmx Yamaha 450 and then he had Pro Circuit build him 2 Kx450s, but found out his Fox contract wouldn't be as lucrative if he wasn't on a factory team. He then tests a "factory" H.E.P. Suzuki, the same bike that Seven Deuce Deuce powered to a night show or 2 last year. So the bike has a proven foundation and weeks before the season starts, he decides to take the ride with the "factory" Suzuki team. He also gets to keep his full Fox contract agreement, because he's riding a "factory" bike. It's the least updated bike in the field and the only one with a kickstarter, but it's a "factory" bike. He has now changed the suspension and bike dramatically multiple times since the opening round and he looks good for spurts. But he needs a miracle to win a 20 minute race. The silver lining? He took a chance on nostalgia with a bike he came up on, that he won an outdoor 450 title on, and a brand with loyal followers. If he wins that's fine and dandy. If he doesn't win? He will blame the bike and in 2024 a factory will take the chance on his name and history alone, and give him a ride. It's a win win for Kenny. He just bought himself another year of getting paid. Smart move imo.

Dude is 5th in points and has finished in the podium. He's doing okay and beating Factory dudes.

The amount of posts I'm seeing about Sexton, Craig, and Roczen being in trouble really shows how mentally weak the everyday Joe is compared to the professionals.

All things considering, I think Roczen is doing a great job. I think he would have been better on the semi factory Honda because he knew the bike. How much testing on the Zook before round 1, maybe two weeks???? He’s podium and won a heat!

I don’t think it matters what brand or team KR rides for.

I think it is clear that KR is a sprinter and does quite well in shorter races. Supercross is about 5-8 minutes longer than he needs.

He had an option to race under the KTM umbrella as well.

Brandon Haas (Club owner) said in an interview they pulled the offer the following day because he didn’t feel they had parts or support for the 450 yet. So Kenny didn’t even have a chance to accept.

Not sure. Both Roczen and his agent spoke about talking with Roger when the whole Ping drama came out.

I honestly think he's happy with where he is, because he has a built-in excuse and can play the "I'm doing great for being on this bike" card. It seems to me he thrives on succeeding AT ALL when people have written him off.
So having a mediocre (at the elite pro level) bike is perfect for him; he can get a 5th and it feels like a win because the bike is so terrible in a lot of peoples eyes.
If he stayed at Firepower, on a bike he WON on in the offseason, the pressure and expectations would have been a lot higher I think.

Finally, I agree with Bob. I’d ride worse based on how bad that kawi looked.

I believe either Mitch or some other PC personel member is quoted to have said that. They were built for him to test...but he blew them off for the HEP Suzuki ride.

And yeah...the Kawies are fugly.

that green just doesn't give you much to work with color wise.  I've had three Kawis and the only complimentary colors are black/white, some blues and old school purple, but red yellow and white... man, none of those look good imo.

Just under a KTM umbrella I think.

Kenny could go and fill in for Gajser if he really hates the yellow bike.

That Kawi is indeed ass ugly but the Progressive Suzuki is the ugliest "factory" Suzuki to ever take the track.

Doesn't he have more points than he has had after 6 rounds in a long time?

I mean he was never going to beat or run with tomac, Webb, or sexton night in and night out.  He hasn't been better than Anderson in 4-5 years either.  Puts him 4-5 as best case scenario.  Isn't that where he is?
