Could have been far worse, if he lawn darted for example. He took a good tuck and roll instead of head first. At least he didn't "face" anything.

He just posted video on his instagram. Collarbone and fractures in back, but he is good. 

Thank God we don't have more than 9 whoops anymore or dragons backs. I was about done with sx this year after Levi's crash. Kenny's win and him still having a shot at the title have me a lifeline

This season is so brutal.  The amount and extent of injuries have made me super uneasy about my own upcoming riding/racing season.

Glad it’s not worse for Levi.  Broken Vertebrae is no joke.

That was a brutal high speed get off for sure so I am Glad to see his injuries weren’t as severe as they could have been.

Kinda disagree with this. The problem is these guys don’t fear much. They can make easy obstacles dangerous with how fast they hit shit. 

Levi said in his video he got geeedy with that section and it bit him. These guys know an “acceptable” way to hit each section to minimize risk.. but it’s racing. So they go balls out. Sounds like Levi knew the speed he hit that obstacle came with the risk of a pile drive and took it anyways. 

Look at tracks back in the 80s and 90s. They were sketchy as fuck and guys treated as such. If it meant they have to slow up a bit to not crash then that’s what they did. These guys now days will hit something sketchy wide open, crash, then blame the obstacle 

 

Hopefully just spinous process fractures from the tuck and impact but could also get vertebral body wedge fractures from that kind of impact. Spinous process fractures and collarbone don't usually get you admitted though..... 

When he says he has a few fractures to his “upper back”, I wonder if he’s referring to something like his shoulder blades instead of his actual spine. Not sure if this has been elaborated on beyond his IG video though.

Levi got hurt on a 250 so not sure what a 350 would change? I realize you mean 350 for the big boy class but Levi is far from a rookie.

Motocross is dangerous. There’s season ending crashes every weekend. This has been a thing for as long as this sport has existed. It’s just how it is. These guys are pushing their limits to be the best and take home the trophy. No matter what track design, someone is always going to get creative and do things the track creators never imagined when they designed the track and these riders are going to take risks none of us would ever take to cross the checkers before everyone else.
