I know what your saying but then we would have to discredit all the 125 East and West champions like McGrath Carmichael Stewart and many more except the SMX title isn't regional.

While the SMX title is an accomplishment, to me it's a distant 3rd to an Outdoor 250 title or 250 SX regional. I know there are differing opinions on this but in it's current form, the SMX title is kind of gimmicky. SMX in general is really cool and if that is what needs to happen to keep both SX and MX on the same page, have a good tv deal etc, then I'm all for it. But unless it evolves somehow, I don't think the titles are in the conversation with a SX or MX series title. Just my opinion.

Fair point, but at least SMX is the whole field and not racing half of the competition like SX.

Why does 250SX count the same as 450's for a National number by the way??  You're racing half the field!  Still incredible, but a long ways from the 450 class.

True but SMX doesn't count towards a National Number / single digit, so that right there kind of shows that it's weighted the lowest. I think most people understand that a regional 250 SX title is a great accomplishment but obviously not on the same level as a 450SX title. Whereas at least the 250 and 450 Outdoor titles are a lot closer, as far as prestige or whatever. Not trying to get off of topic here but just was making a point that SMX title is what it is but I just don't put that in the same category as the regular titles. And this is a general statement, nothing towards Haiden. He has his outdoor title and looks to be on his way to an SX regional anyways, so it's not a shot at him.

I know what you're saying and agree that it' seems lower of the titles but all the top guys try for that title and he's won it twice. I know what you're saying though

Agree 1000%. I always point out Jett winning both 450 SMX titles. He didn't even race the 450 SX series in '23 but still won the SMX title. In '24 he missed half the outdoor series but still won the title. It can't carry the same weight because of the point system. It's certainly a career accomplishment and a killer payday but it's in it's own category. Is Jett a 6x champ? He's a 4x champ with 2 SMX wins

Idk how ppl havent caught on yet, but haiden has learned (or been taught) to find a way to create drama out of literally anything that happens. Its their “thing”. It doesnt matter what the other person does, he can flip it into new drama. Who it is changes depending on who is the biggest threat this week. Remember when he turned chance hymas dabbing his foot into “chance purposely took me out and now he has one coming.” Everybody with eyeballs and a brain knew chance didnt do it on purpose, and since haiden has eyes and a brain this was one of the clearest looks at the manufactured drama. Notice he doesnt hate chance anymore? Just like Brian said to the Lawrences, its all for the cameras deuude.

Maybe to 12 year olds. I hope anyone that is legally eligible to vote in an election can see it’s Hollywood marketing hype.

Great conversation and to be honest I see everybody's point. I don't want mx to become a circus, but I do like a little personality in the sport. Bob Hannah, who had a few nicknames one of them being Trouble.I remember at Anaheim SX he had a hard time passing RJ so when he did he looked back and flipped him off. Of course the famous Saddle Back Massacre he was battling with Kent Howerton and he blatantly took him out. Bob hated to lose and, in my opinion,so does Deegan. He trains hard and not afraid to send it on the track. Many weekends hes the fastest guy out there. You all can make fun of him but he's making a lot of money and  winning titles. MX careers are short and at any time can end because of injury so hopefully he's being smart with his money

I don’t mind personality, and wasn’t making fun of what he’s doing as it obviously appeals to a large demographic and they’re making plenty of $ off it. I’m younger than the majority on here, but have a huge respect for “personalities” like Hannah’s, I’m a huge Stanton fan just because that dude radiated the “bad ass” feel even from photos, and love the endless stories of Hannah’s shenanigans.

Deegan’s antics just scream phony and manufactured, primarily because we all know they’re doing it for clicks. Hannah wasn’t making $ on ad revenue, so that guy said and did shit purely because he felt it. The American Flag debacle, Claiming Hymas took him out when he was behind Hymas, etc are very obvious attempts at grasping at straws to stir drama. He’s one of the most hungry riders I’ve seen in a long time and is so much fun to watch slice through the field, I would just be a lot bigger of a fan if everything off the bike wasn’t for a YouTube video.

Just my $0.02. I don’t like it, but I guess that’s the age of social media where it’s all about perception.

250 sx doesn't count the same at either National title or the premier class in sx. We don't call RC a 16x champion. We say he's a 15x champ with a 250 regional title. I'm not taking away from the amazing accomplishment of winning any of these titles. There's just in different categories.

Yes, Bob hated to lose, but he also genuinely didn't like Howerton, so the shit he talked in the media was real. Deegan, unfortunately, has a revolving door or "rivals" based off of who he can get to take the bait.

I would think Juju’s ex because I know he used to be in her youtube videos, and Haiden has never had a girlfriend i’m pretty sure.

Deegan ain't spoilt. He is fortunate to have grown up with parents who have money. He has not pissed that privilege up the wall like so many other kids.

Look at other kids that have grown up.with money. Here's an example...Will Smith's stupid son Jadon. What has this arsehole done in his life to deserve fame?

images 22

Jadon is a fucking clown with his Gucci house hand bag. An oxygen thief...useless...

Deegan has worked his fucking arse off to get to where he is today. He is fitter and faster than all us Vitards. He can do triathlons no problem. Money can't buy that. Self discipline and determination achieves what Deegan has done. He is young and will mature and he will become better at speaking in public.

The people who hate on him have problems. They ignore their own failures whilst pointing fingers at Deegan.

Sadly, jealousy is a horrible thing which I think alot of people suffer from. Stop pointing Deegan out and look at yourselves...And ask yourselves this question. Who is the bigger cunt, Deegan or myself?

People said the same between Jlaw and Dungey, we saw how that turned out.

Look at other kids that have grown up.with money. Here's an example...Will Smith's stupid son Jadon. What has this arsehole done in his life to deserve fame?

What you just did to Jadon makes you a cunt by your own definition.

Jaden has probably seen some shit courtesy of his whacked out parents. I wouldn't be too quick to judge. Actually has some decent music fwiw.

Deegan works hard and deserves his success. Doesn't mean he has good character or is a universally positive role model.

What? Jaden at least makes music and seems like he’s trying to get out there, I’m surprised to see you this bitter

J Law was very talented and very fast but to compare Deegan to him is ridiculous. The cocky attitude and  trying to get into people's heads. Yeah I see that similarity except J Law only had one good year and won a title where tegan's been fast and consistent for 3 years. J Law got in trouble for rolling a car. He got in a fight with a guy at the lake. Got in a fight with a guy at a racetrack. Apparently the guy is throwing rocks at riders and then he  got in a fight with the driver of his Team semi  in which I heard he bit the guys ear. So tell me, where's the connection

J Law didn’t have only one good year, 2007 he was solid and in 2009 he showed flashes in the big bike class that hinted at top end talent. Yea he was a flash in the pan, but he didn’t have lightning in a bottle for only one year

Without the purse money no one is showing up to the smx "playoff." SX and MX titles are prestigious in their own right.

You're right about J Law, he did have a few good seasons. At that time he was my favorite rider. If he could have stayed out of trouble, In my opinion, would have won more titles.
