We haven’t heard much lately, either way, about Adam’s hand/arm issues. A brutal mudder like this and to finish 8th, ahead of some of the riders that he did, seems like a good sign. Fighting that mud takes a lot of strength. I hope this is a good sign for him.
Who knows, might be his best finish of the year. Best finish so far, for sure.
He ran top 3 early.
I saw him kind of sitting still after a whoops for 10 secondish. Maybe a stalled or tipped over who knows. Probably could’ve been higher.
Seems about 7-10 is his norm now. Big AC fan but could be his last year.
AC 's future looked so bright at one time. Injuries are a bitch in this sport, so is earning enough money to not want to hurt yourself again. AC and a lot of others in this sport are a canary in the coal mine to most young prospects. Not that AC hasn't had a career to be proud of, just unmet expectations perhaps.

his spirit animal chris betts retired...it's only a matter of time before he follows into the aether
Matthes gets AC9 in his post-race interviews from San Fran. To me, there is a tinge of resignation in his voice when Steve asks him about his arm. His contract is up this year, I believe. Could very well be his swan song season we are watching, sadly.
I was just reflecting on that, actually before the weekend. Last week not even a mention of AC in any of the post A1 threads. He looked so good in '20 mx. For awhile it seemed like he was holeshotting every sx and that he had more sprint speed than anyone. He would usually throw it away. Now you don't even see that
AC is usually pretty good in the mud. I thought p 4-6 was realistic for him. 8th isn't terrible. Two rounds down, he left healthy in one piece and with points. Lot of Debbie downers in here.
How crazy have times changed. Ac the golden boy coming out of amateurs gets an 8th place and every is stoked for him.
The other golden boy gets a 9th and he is the laughing stock for his miserable result.
He beat Jett
Would like to see him get some top 5's and podiums to finish out his season.
Where's this interview? I can't find anything
It’s in the post race interviews
Seeing and hearing about what he’s been dealing with when it comes to his arm/losing feeling in his hand…witnessing how that affects him out in the track…I am simply proud of the young dude…and I’m proud of Kawasaki, U.S.A. for giving him a chance to be out there and ”give it another go”.
So, I guess I’m just stoked that that there’s some semblance of loyalty at the highest level of our sport.
