Deegan is the biggest whiner about haters. He's brought it up countless times in his interviews.
Edit: Typo
One thing that sticks out to me is hypocrites. Hes another prime example of one. For sure, I saw your response after I replied to him and thought thats close to what I said.
Wait until the Deegan-ites find out he’s into fashion like the Lawrence’s.
😂😂
Fuck, I hope you're kidding. He's probably salty Jett is stealing his bit of calling out the haters. Its constant from him.

My only issue with Jett was the entitlement attitude he started to develop during SX. I get being pissed when he doesn't win, that's a sign of greatness, what I don't like is him getting pissed at dudes like they're the reason he didn't win (being taken out is an obvious exception). He's clearly faster than everyone except Eli and Chase, so no need for him to get pissy with someone like Anderson because he couldn't figure out how to get around him.
The over saturation is a bit much as well, but like Don said, that's not on him, that's the broadcast. That'd be like getting pissed at Ohtani for the stupid "only X more batters before Ohtani's next at bat" graphic they had on screen during the World Series.
Would you consider Deegan to actually be “whining” though? He’s said multiple times how it fuels him, gives me the impression he enjoys the hate…and I believe Jett is now making that same statement in different words
I don’t see that happening. This may be too far but some things i’ve seen jett wear i always end up asking myself, how is this fashion?
I don't think either care about it.. I do think there's a bit getting lost in translation too.. Some of us Aussies have a very dry sense of humour and we're taking the piss out of something and the only way to tell that's happening is a slight difference in tone haha I would be very surprised him being affected by it in any way
Huh, don’t see what happening?
You're aware how his dad got rich, right?
Deegan does the same thing as Jett. Always talking about his haters. It gets old real quick and I’m over it. There’s other riders that have talked about the haters too. Everyone can say it’s this new generation that whines and cries and/or wants the attention of the “haters”……
BUT
The riders are more accessible than ever in todays age. Social media is absolutely saturated with people talking sh$t to riders daily in public comments. No rider is immune to this no matter how much they’re loved. People talking bad about you, your family, your work ethic, your parents, your team, your wife, your kids etc. as a rider, and I’m sure the direct messages that are private are worse. People telling you to kill yourself because you passed someone’s favorite rider. Yea they can ignore this stuff all day long but they will see it whether they choose to engage or not. This is something Bob Hannah, Rick Johnson, Marty Smith, or even Jeremy McGrath never had to endure on a daily basis. It was only recorded phone race results, magazines, and delayed video footage back then.
As much as I find it annoying to even bring up the “haters,” I don’t blame them when you try and view it from their angle. That goes for any professional sports athlete today.
Jett just needs to sit down with RC for a minute. When Ricky went to Honda he got a few boo's and it worked out fine for him.
I heard he was into drag racing, not sure what he did though.
Jett brings it on himself for disrespecting history and competition. Just like last year with the 72, don't throw out perfect season speculation until you've at least got it in the crosshairs
He should have just done "24-0" on one hand
At least you give a valid reason and don't resort only to the 'broadcast/too much attention' argument.
Who’s gonna tell?
Well put.
Pit Row
The whole "US hates foreigners" narrative just doesn't stick. Us Americans root for foreigners (as long as they have the right attitude): Roczen, Prado, Lopes, Reed, Shimoda, even Vialle.
He already has. I've seen interviews where he said RC told him to not let the negative fans bother him, it's only because he's so fucking good.
Bingo. I was a huge Roczen fan when he first came over, and I’m very excited for Prado to run his first full season. That goes for all the others in between!
@Sully and @soggy both give commentary that is worth reading. It’s getting tougher and tougher to read this site daily but there are still a handful of guys that offer opinions that are interesting to read.
The closer and closer this site gets to a Facebook/instagram comment section I’m out.
A lot of expensive houses and cars in the vid. Every rider has been beaten. Only Mike Brown is undefeated in 50+ in the world. 3 perfect seasons. No one ever did that. Where is the 2 million dollar contracts for the Vet classes ? Or even 250k plus bonuses.
This^^^
And for everyone not understanding the "hate" for Jett or Deegan, it comes with the territory of being at the top, especially if they are perceived as being cocky. When you are beating every other fan's favorite riders, you are usually not going to be popular, especially if you are pulling some of childish antics they've been known for. Some of the hate just comes with the territory of beating everyone, and the rest of it is self inflicted based on character. There have been a few humble guys at the top but not many, and they aren't hated nearly as much.
An example we might see come into play is Prado. As of right now I'm a huge Prado fan and I haven't seen anything other than very humble kid who hauls ass. If he comes over here and starts in with some of the stuff Jett has done or said, then the perception will change, the crowd will boo him, and I won't dig him as much. But if Prado stays humble, doesn't act like it should be a given that he should win every heat/race, then there would be a much different level/amount of "hate" for Jett vs. Prado based on character/maturity. We'll see how it plays out in the outdoors as we know Jett should have him covered in Supercross this year.
I think you can still beat everyone and still not be hated as long as you're humble (Tomac).
Yes, he's one of them, and Dungey too, and a few more. People still hated/hate them for their dominance of being on top and beating other riders, but you'd be hard pressed to hate either of them for their character, which results in the larger portion of hate from the self infliction from Jett and Deegan that's being discussed here. It's the bad character that gets you the boos, not the winning.
I would agree with this but it definitely seems it all goes out the window if they do something seen as wrong.. Like Ferrandis' move on Craig or when Marv took Tomac out for a win.. It seems the booing and 'hate' is more than a 'local' would receive..
In my opinion..
Some folks dip cope, others sheep.
90% of the negativity surrounding Jett has nothing to do with his riding. Others have touch on some of the reasons but I don’t want to get into it.
Get over it.
Speak for yourself I don’t believe people hate Jett because he’s a foreigner, if that’s your theory why do most love KR. If Jett’s panties are bunched up and the negative talk bugs him, he should stay off his SM. Either case he’s turning into a crybaby.
