Was East Rutherford the Best SX Ever?

There must've been something in the air or water in New Jersey.

Every race of the night was surprisingly action packed, from 250 heats, to the 450 semis and of course the LCQ's. The amount of times dudes ended up on the ground due to a mistake themselves or from another person forcing the issue was insane!

And then you got the main events, with Savatgy being penalized and losing his red plate and of course the Eli melt down and team tactics in the 450 class. Pound for pound, this was the best night of SX that I can recall.

Depends on who you ask. It won't be forgotten anytime soon, that's for sure....

Not sure it was the best but it certainly was entertaining. The track itself proved to be a great equalizer. I think Fro mentioned "it's one of those kind of tracks" last night on the broadcast as guys were bumping, banging & crashing their way around.

One for the ages. Lots of interesting "events". Having the finish line 20 feet away but having a bike, body and especially leg as hitchhikers was crazy. I'm glad the Kawi gentleman still has a leg.

Wife was wondering what I was all excited about on the deck....I thought it was an exciting race, but I like orange and white.

Drama even continued after the race with penalty to the 17. People attending the Vegas race are going to have fun!

I echo on the track layout being the worst of the season.

+1 on that. Doesn't help it was used like 2 or 3 times alone last year.

Lot's of action last night, not very good racing. Definitely wouldn't say it was the best. Oakland was up there with excitement too.

Great and crazy night of racing, intense highs and intense lows. One for the history book.

It was good racing all night until the the last lap of the 450 main, when we were reminded that greed trumps honesty. That was a black eye for the sport.

Lots of crashing and "dirty" racing. Great entertaining and considering it was on the "Big Network", I would say it was great promotion for our niche sport.

Most definitely not. It was exciting, yes, but the racing wasn't as good as other rounds have been, or the past two for that matter. Seattle blew away expectations (although I'd have taken the 82 degree temp from NJ over the freezing wind). Tomac's charge in SLC was unreal. NJ was a really interesting points shake up, but if you didn't know the point standing, would it have been as interesting to watch?

It was a great race, as so many have been this year. There have been lots of yawner seasons over the years and this ain't one of those. In both classes.

Best overall supercross race that I have seen. No doubt. I almost always enjoy watching the races on TV, but usually just sit quietly and watch the show. Yesterday, however, it seemed like every few minutes I was jumping up and yelling at the Little Woman "DID YOU SEE THAT?"!
Wild race all around.

And yeah, I hated seeing Marvin make his "mistake".

Are you gonna spew your pout on every thread? Lemme guess, you were also excited when Reed held Dungey up and thought that was just great? Let it go, man, the season isn't over yet. Your "not honest", moral high ground preaching is falling on deaf ears in here, other than a few others that can't stand when things don't work out perfectly for them either. As a fan, appreciate everything about the sport, not just a single act or rider.

Best ever? It had its memorable moments, but I didn't enjoy watching the riders wrestle with the track.

Apart from anything else, daytime SX races lick balls.

Best of the year imo
It seems like the wind went out of the announcers sails
A bit when Tomac crashed lol
Almost like when Riczen crashed but to a lesser extent
Great night of Racing I loved it
I Am a Dungey fan tho
And I would like to See Smith pull it out too
Although i would put my money on Ozborne

Everyone has their own opinion, but I thought it was great. One of the most exciting nights of racing I've seen live. The crowd really got into it too. I almost lost my voice by the end of the night after cheering so much. And seeing Ronnies fans react to him stealing 5th at the last second in the semi was worth the price of admission alone.

Best ever is certainly a stretch, admittedly but there really is no way to win with tracks, is there?

Make it easy and flowy, everyone complains it's not technical enough amd thr ridrrs are all just jumping all the same huge lines.

Then you get a more technical travk amd people complain the track sucks because the riders were struggling with it and it was difficult to find flow.

I attended the race and thought the track and racing was good. Although watching the 250 guys and some of the 450 guys hit the one triple out of the turn after the short section of whoops made me cringe over and over. Saw so many guys case it and almost go down but not too many crashes surprisingly.
