Tomac Intro Video = Lame....

Edited Date/Time 1/10/2015 7:50am
I was at A1. I watched Tomac’s intro Video on the big screen at the stadium. In case you didn’t see, here’s a quick summary: It shows Tomac’s dropping the other rider’s front numbers plates (Roczen, Canard, Millsaps, etc.) into a pile on the dirt ground. Then he pours gas all over them. Then he walks over and grabs his cross bow, lights the tip of an arrow on fire, and shots the arrow into the pile of number plates so they all explode and burn like a camp fire. I lost all respect for Tomac immediately when I saw this. I know racing is racing, and this is supposed to “add to the drama of it all”, but I thought this video was super disrespectful to the other riders and the fact that Tomac starred in it and allowed it is 100% lame in my opinion. You don’t have to come out with a video like that. It was classless in my opinion. We know that building up the drama is important to the sport, but Tomac should have shown more humility. Gieco Honda should be ashamed of that video. I was laughing at Tomac’s performance. I think Karma got him. The way Roczen high-fived and hugged the other riders (Andersen, Canard) after the main event was truly what a real Champion is made of. Maybe Tomac will learn a little about sportsmanship from Roczen.

Bro it's just a joke. Everyone knows Eli respects other riders. You're reading way too into it.

I think you need to chill out a little. I doubt the other riders found it disrespectful. They saw it for what it is. Judging by your comment about Eli and karma, I would assume you were already not a fan. About Roczen hugging and high-fiving everyone after a win, who wouldn't do that? Let's see how many people he hugs and high-fives when he finishes 18th.

Wow. I don't like ET that much but who cares. I'm sure they don't come up with their own videos. Even if they do, isn't it all in good fun?

I wish this thread was tangible so Tomac could shoot it.

I liked the intro vid where the rider came out and shook everyone's hands to the tune of "why cant we be friends", then gave props to the flaggers and Ralph Shaheen. Class act.

You do realize that it's probably Feld you should be mad at since it's very likely that the video was their idea and Eli just went along with it, right? That is, of course, only if you can truly justify being mad at ANYONE for it.

Yeah, I bet Eli came up with the video entirely on his own. When Feld whips out their checkbooks, you'll do any sort of video they ask you to do Tongue Shocked

Get a grip pal, Feld comes up with the ideas for the most part.

Is there somewhere you can see the intro videos not at a race? They took Toronto from us so I won't be able to see them.

Ive never met Tomac but he seems like one of the nicest guys out their aswell as one of the happiest guys. He was bought up differently then most other Pro's, his parents didn't put pressure on him.

Did you watch/listen to Jim Holleys post interview with Roczen? He wasn't even listening to Jim at the start and he kept looking down..
