..... pass.

In the Barcia thread they show Villo clean out Alessi, now this isn't a pass I think is the greatest, but Alessi had the handle on Villo their whole amateur career. You have to admit, many years of frustration was put into squaring that turn off and letting 800 have it. It was a text book take out....

What one pass that you have watched stands out in yor mind as spectacular?

Bubba at Washougal on the 125. Passed two 250f's in between them by ducking under the bars. Had he not ducked he wouldn't have made it. They were ahead, he hit the turn like a slingshot.

Definitely! Especially at High Point and Southwick in 07.

Also Stewart passing Michael Byrne I think on the 125 where he scrubbed so hard he was looking up at him.

Or RC coming from behind to pass MC in supercross. I think everyone's jaws dropped on that one.

My personal favorite though has to be John Dowd at southwick in 1997 or so. He was on the 125 and I remember standing at the top of the till right after the steep hairpin where they used to go down, make a sharp left and come back up the hill before making a sweeping left back towards the valley. I remember seeing Dowd rail through that section so fast it made other guys look like they were standing still. I could feel the thud on the ground as he railed through those sand whoops. It's not any single pass, he passed lots of riders through there that day, but that one really stands out. It's one of those things where, watching it on TV just does not do it justice and you just had to be there.

Trey goin' inside of Villo for the title. Not exactly deep in history, but an awesome pass none the less. Or Stewie in 2003, I think is was Budds where he scrubbed the shit out of that table under Kelly Smith for the lead.

Reynard passing RC @ dilla in the turn by vendors row. robbie railed the outside on a 125 and passed RC like he was standing still. I can still remember that and to this day think its the fastest I have ever seen a guy ride a 125.

Gotta agree with Southwick 2007 RC launching that finish line jump WFO...hanging off the bike.

My son and I were standing alongside that section and when he came over I thought there was absolutely no way he was going to save it.
Then he just hammered up the hill.

Yep over that massive jump out to the flat I think.

The one at Southwick looked crazier for me cause I was right there.

Single greatest pass, not brake check on a rider much faster then himself.

And if you remember that whole race last year, even after Ryan went down he still came back and beat Mike in that race.

Johnny O' at the Daytona SX (83?) by far in my book. Last ditch effort over the finish line jump. Anyone have a picture of that by chance?

I just watched the video, it wasn't Budds, my bad. It was Reeeed Buuuud, but it was definitely Kelly Smith. But the pass wasn't as great as I remember now that I watch it again.

He was behind going in and in front going out. I call it a pass.
What does poto winning have to do with the title thread or my post?
I was trying to stay on the theme of front wheels being taken out.

These posts are useless without video or pics. Come on. I wanna see some. BTW, the Kehoe launch is hard to beat for balls out wanting a position. Maybe not the best display of sheer speed but it really showed how bad he wanted it.
