How about some love for the German? Dude went from major injuries, never to race again according to some. Last year he struggled with mysterious illnesses, then over the offseason he became a dad and this made him a big question mark. Guy goes out and acquires a sports psychologist in order to strengthen any weakness in his program. He put in a great ride and proved that his “reset” looks legit, I wish the best for him for the rest of the season.

One shitty race and that “mysterious illness” will be back. Tired of the roczen sob story. Crash happened years ago move on.

Thing is he was the best guy (with Tomac) last year aswell before salt lake. Even tho I'm probably the biggest Kroc fan I still can't believe that his late season illness just disappeared. I do hope so. The improvements from 2018 to 2020 were already big. From 0 wins in 2019 to 4 wins in 2020. If he has his health under control I don't see anyone beating Kenny.
Half way through the season we will probably see if his full reset worked out.

Looking good one race in, the only concern I have with Kenny is the races three days after then four days race again.
He needs more time to recover than most. ?

Kenny looked strong, focused and smart. A great start to his season. He's going to be a real threat.

Totally surprising. I figured that he would have to tone things down due to the newborn. He came out bad as always. He was good!

Curious to know the story about the switch on Twinwall.

I think he is the favorite this year. I am a hardcore Tomac fan but I will be happy to see Kenny get the title.

I tend to think that this years schedule will be better for Kenny than a normal year. Less travelling, less training and riding, with a couple of weeks break in the season a couple of times. Those health issues will always be a concern until he can prove that they aren’t a problem any more, but I don’t really buy that this season will be harder for him than a normal one. He looked great at round 1 that’s for sure

Great first round from him. But what was more impressive than the result was his riding. He has looked kinda stiff and timid on the old Honda post-injuries, with the new one he seemed to be a bit more like the pre-injury Roczen. I think that was the best he has been riding ever since the injury.

But there is still the question mark regarding his health. Lets hope that the weird things that has been going on with him in the end of all series is behind him now.

Lets reassess after rounds 5-6. He looked great last night but the grind of the schedule will really tell the tale about whether his big reset worked for him

He took off outdoors. Hopefully that recovery time will pay off with racing being this close. Great race for KR. In past since his return we seen him fade. That wasn’t the case last night.

I think injury’s and his brother-in-law getting paralyzed when they where out practicing together was probably playing some head games and he’s getting some help for it. Could be a great season for him

I hope he wins the championship, however he looked pretty darn worn out in his interview.

I hope he wins the title before I have to jump on the AC bandwagon. Sucks only one guy can win the title - I’m a big fan of a lot of them

Ken starts out strong every year. The real test is always from Daytona to the end. If he can manage those races he could be the guy this year

I thought he look fast all night. He was faster than Barcia in spots and thought he would get by him. But did seem to slow it down a bit towards the end. That may have been a “ it’s just the first race and 2nd is a great start” type thought or could have been he was spent (maybe his illness showing up a little).

He rode great and it was smart not to start anything with Barcia first race of the season. Him doing well the first race is pretty meaningless though. He had the red plate in 2019 sx and mx. And he had the red plate last yr 2020 sx. Let's see wheres he at half way through the season

Did i miss something. He won a few races last year when he rode amazing. Had the red plate for ages . He has said himself he is sick to death of talking about his injuries. The illness maybe was caused by his injuries maybe, maybe not who knows . But the injuries haven't held him back riding wise for a couple of years . Its more the illness

The bike looks great on a softer track. Looking forward to seeing how it works on the hard pack tracks

People really underestimate the extent of his injuries, the amount of surgeries, drugs and antibiotics would have destroyed his body and his immune system to keep that arm alive, having such a compromised immune system must cause a lot of problems with his health and fitness.

These aren't a timed thing where it heals and he's all good these are life long injuries, just because the man doesn't say it doesn't mean he's not constantly in pain or has no strength in those hands and arms.

A person like Ken who has a never die attitude is going slow or gets gassed because he's older, his body truly is that fucked from those crashes you can see each year we can see improvements in his riding because his body is slowly healing and hes gaining strength, it doesn't help he hasn't taken a year or two off to take the stress out either.

It's probably why he sat out of MX because MX tracks are so much more demanding on the arms and body.

Seriously, we don't know how he truly is with his body, how much movement he has in this arms and hands the problems he's had is certainly not a lack of drive or talent.
