It’s a classic race after all , would presume they made the cut off 20 years

Wob explains it in this video somewhere. Apparently it started in 2009 and the rule was for bikes 20 years & older. As it's now 2022 they've brought forward the 20 year rule and are now allowing bikes up to 2002.

It's quite an interesting video. There's not much that Wob doesn't know about bikes and US riders of the '90s.

Granted the VMXdN class itself is on those, but there is a class for the later bikes, both 125 and 250 races called Ultra Evo, being newer models than in the Super Evo or, older again, Evo classes.

A mate of mine is racing an '06 RM 250 in Ultra Evo, seriously good dude, die hard two stroke guy and dedicated racer, gotta love it 👍

And Wob is a legend in his own right for sure.

Too cool, wish we could do one here in the USA. Mixing in with the elderly foreign riders we could do three riders from various states (?). Florida could be Ferry, Stewart, RC for example ?

One of my life's goals is NOT a Lambo (leave that to Matthes) but rather a Doc Wob bike.

Bud light is such a fitting sponsor for rv. I can’t imagine mike brown eating or drinking a carb though.
IDK. Any time I've seen him with a beer in his hand, it's a Coors Light.

RV is still awesome, quick phone pic below. Mike Brown was impressive as always and Osborne seems like a good guy too and it was cool to see him out there.

It was a fantastic weekend, all the top guys were there from Thursday and were properly accessible , all had a great time and enjoyed a beer or two with the fans, and then they gave us 2 days great racing.

As big an event as i have seen in the UK for years, weather was great, lucked in to getting a day in the commentary booth with Roger Warren as a fill in on sunday, met RJ and Dubach (again) and as always they were true pro's , time for everyone.

So much went on, if you can get there for the next one, and be part of it, do so .

Little known fact about RV. Him and Brock Lesnar are 3rd cousins and only drink the best Light beer ever.

In classic British Motocross spectator mode, I was in the beer tent a tad too early and enjoyed the racing far too much that I didn’t get round the pits for more pics etc.

Honestly an amazing day! Must have been 10x the people there than a British Championship round. Nostalgia is definitely in full effect and hopefully for next year, a lot more riders jump in the mix (calling Joel Smets out to ride one of the two big Husabergs that came out to play yesterday).

Be good to see some more ex-Pro British riders come out too; Carl Nunn, Stephen Sword etc for next time round.

Not pit bits worthy by any means, but doesn’t appear too many people on here got bike pics;

I haven't stopped smiling since I got home. It was epic, from start to finish.

To the Doc and Dave, and everyone who put it together, thank you!

Saw Zak and rv in the waiting area by the start, both looked chilled and having fun

What a fantastic turn out and Awsome racing,

For me the highlight of the day was seeing brown and 272 going at it screaming the arse off them Hondas 125s

Took a few pics but nothing special

Best motocross event we’ve had in Britain for 25 years at least. SO many people there. It was an amazing, festival-like, ‘you-HAD-to-be-there’ experience. It didn’t matter who won.

Americans looked great by the way.

Very cool to watch. Definitely a highlight of the year.

How many motos did Mike Brown end up racing anyway? Seems every other moto he was out there, and was still faster than RV and Zacho. His battles with Bradshaw were pretty cool to watch.

Yeah Brownie and Nev Bradshaw on the 125's was a stand out for sure. Quite a few of the fast guys were doing multiple classes. Including Brad Anderson hopping straight off a 125 and onto his bike for the VMXdN class and riding away from everyone.

There's every chance I'm wrong so double check or wait for someone with a clue to swing by, but I think Mike Brown was doing 3 classes, VMXdN, one of the 125 classes (Evo?) and an open class (over 50's?). There were a few similar kits and with bikes / numbers changing and being roasting hot for a lot of it I couldn't keep things straight 🤣

In 25 years , everyone will say they were there , like Woodstock.

'Didnt matter who won'... usually said by those that didnt win LOL

But it was great, i was worried the track wouldnt give great racing, but there wasnt a shortage of that .

Farliegh in 2 weeks, hopefully that will be decent as well.

So good watching them guys rip - Nev is amazing and the heal clicker he did on the step up was epic!

Ando on the 500 was equally as cool!

I'll scan my programme in when I'm at work tomorrow - obviously a few changes in the line up from printing.

In the mean time Tommy's vlog;

It was awesome, a few things I learned or remembered from the weekend:

A full field of 125s through the valley is still purely 100% what motocross is about

Ryan Voase is still silky smooth and rode that 500 with authority

English pissed up motocross fans can be twats

English motocross fans can be awesome

Hard pack tracks should still be used

2 strokes should have never gone anywhere

Pink TM’s were and are still cool

Chuck Davies has the best looking bike and gear combo

Mike brown is not human
