You bet your arse he is mate 👍 And Mike Brown! I know you know that, but just in case it slipped by anyone else.

Only going for the Sunday unfortunately, but seeing, hearing and smelling a load of trick two strokes for the day will be immense. I've pretty much been counting the days since I heard about it early in the year.

If you don’t follow Dave King and the various VMXdN pages on FB and/or IG, you’re missing out.

Yup

4 days of fun at Foxhill in Swindon, home of the 98 Des Nations.

Be there thursday afternoon, in the beer tent.

Are these vintage races? I see that these are all steel framed Yz's.

Beautiful bikes, although that 9 is maybe one of the worst fonts I've ever seen on a bike

The original VMXdN at Farleigh used to be twin shocks and 'Evos' up to '89 (ish). The new VMXdN, now at Foxhill, is more 90's bikes.

But yes, old bikes, not modern.

Doc Wob built a nice 02 CR250 for Searle for the VMXdN but now Honda won't let him ride.

So no more twin shock classes ? I guess they might be a little out of place at this track .

There is a whole new generation of riders and bikes out there that need a place to ride them, nobody under 50 should be racing an Evo bike , by rights, as the 1989 cutoff means you had to be born in 1972 or earlier to race one, but with lots of guys buying bikes they never raced, the demand outstripped supply, so they have gone Super Evo as well which is pre 1997(ish) and now they are running anything 2 stroke, up to 2007 , so there are loads of bikes suddenly worth having, that werent.

Not quite sure how guys that couldnt race Foxhill in their prime will fare against the 'names' as has been said , Tommy Searle was slated to ride , but got pulled by Honda, even though he raced a non-championship race this past weekend.

Zach Osborne is racing with RV and Mike Brown this weekend in the UK. They’re on the same team for vetmxdn. Zachs riding a old factory 2002 husqvarna which is kind of weird because husky wasn’t made by ktm back then . Rv and brown racing 2002 Yamaha yzs as 2002 is the newest bike you can ride

Bud light is such a fitting sponsor for rv. I can’t imagine mike brown eating or drinking a carb though.

There's some seriously dedicated and fast evo and super evo racers out there. Should be a really good race.

Having spoken to Tommy last Sunday, I have a feeling it’s him who doesn’t want to ride at Foxhill instead of Honda not wanting him to..

Let’s just say he didn’t seem to be enjoying himself.

I'm headed there tomorrow morning. Proper excited. I haven't been to Foxhill since the 99 GP I believe, which is crazy because it's only an hour down the road for me.

Next year is 25 years since the nations was there.. I'm really hoping Wob can persuade RC to come over for that one if it's at Foxhill again!

Hopefully it's a great success for all involved.

Damn that's surprising, shame but it's his call I suppose and at least Jake was on hand as a stand in.

I thought Searle had broken a couple of bones at the last round of the Brit Nationals?

You're indeed right, in his video the other day he said Honda didn't want him doing it but Jake Nicholls would fill in on it, unless I misunderstood, but seems Mel Pocock is actually on the case which is not bad at all 👍 Kurt Nicoll, Mel Pocock and Brad Anderson so all handy two stroke guys 🙂

Yeah that's a good shout, it seems a little weird he could do that no worries but "Honda UK said no" to this, makes you think maybe he really isn't keen?

I kind of get it, British Championship well within reach and don't wanna jeopardize it, but was looking forward to seeing him out at Foxhill.

Either way, good bloke and he said he's still going along and seeing the three we have rip will be cool, so all good.

Hard to bet against the US though, with Mike Brown in the kinda shape he's in and still getting gate drops in, Zach O, and RV probably still being rapid, even if he runs out of puff he'll probably bring the thing home on sheer will power.

Oh man I wish I was there. Kind of a shame it isn’t as Farleigh anymore, though. I’m glad I got to do it the one year that I did even though it was very slowly. Grinning

So cool to see RV smiling and enjoying a beer while getting ready to moto this weekend! I'm supremely jealous I'm not there to watch in person.
