Pulp talking about JA

Edited Date/Time 6/25/2019 1:51pm
Steve and Kris were talking about Jason Anderson on the pulp show and Steve made mention of JA "stiffing" someone called "sagey" or something like that.
Can someone give me the backstory to this.
Cheers

Saji (Still don't know about the spelling) is a trainer. Don't know this story but assume it relates to that.

Think Ping mentioned that Tickle might have (allegedly) done the same thing to him also actually?

He was Andrew shorts trainer if I remember correctly. Seems like a really nice guy.

Just listening to the show now. Sounds like Anderson screwed him over at some point. They didn't give details, but the message seemed pretty clear.

Ye thats what it sounds like alright.
I met JA in Glen Helen back in September, seems like a cool dude.

Did Matthes expand on his story about the KTM team supplying Jeffrey Herlings with an illegal spec bike at Ironman during this latest edition of Pulp mx, or is he still keeping those important details to himself? It is quite the accusation Steve has leveled at KTM and Herlings. I wonder if MX Sports has anything to say as it would appear the scrutineers did not pick up on this illegal bike. That's if Steve Matthes' allegation has any merit of course.

The industry likes to look proper on the outside, but it's kind of a buddy-buddy backwoods joke on the inside. I'd be zero percent surprised if they did some rule breaking for Herlings.

This was talked about after the original race. He was allegedly using a GP style set up that was against AMA rules. Maybe someone can elaborate on it a little more.

My question is, how can they prove or disprove it at this point?

There are enough stories out there about bikes getting through tech when they shouldn't have, I wouldn't be surprised if KTM did do it.

He probably won’t now that it’s getting some attention. I don’t remember who mathe’s was talking to, but he agreed. And mathe’s wasn’t officially accusing them of it, just made mention of it and how much different Herlings bike was in the rough and you could see the difference. The week before the race there was a interview where it was stated that a practice mechanic at aldon’s put Herlings bike together so he could test with Marvin and see where he was at speed wise before he decided to line up or not. It was mentioned the bike was sent over in pieces due to time constraints based on the last minute decision to come over. If it was shipped complete it wouldn’t be there in time. At the time I think everyone was just in awe that he was here. I’m trying to find it, it was someone interviewing aldon I believe trying to get the inside story on his speed.

I don’t want to believe it but at this point if decoster is blatantly and openly suggesting that the whoops be tamed down in supercross this year then anything is possible.

I forget who he was talking to also, maybe JT and Weege? Was it the moto 60 show before Lakewood? But their demeanor was most telling. Being close to the industry and casually thinking, "oh yeah I'm sure they blah blah blah", means their experience isn't that everything is on the up and up. If the promoters were all straight arrows, they'd say something like, "no way would they ever...blah blah blah.". The fact that the buddy-buddy stuff is no surprise means it's been that way for a long time.

How about those throwing these accusations provide details on what was supposedly different and in turn illegal about Herlings' bike.

They could throw out anything they want, the bike and event are gone. No way to prove either way unless someone says something they shouldn't.

You don't need it. When people much closer to the inside than us aren't surprised about cheating, then there's cheating. Inserting our own criteria on a topic we know less about than them is intentionally putting our head in the sand.

slowgti, What did Tony say?

Because they have strong motors, and their riders weigh about 105 pounds each (with the exception of Bloss)

Either JT or anton was just saying how Herlings has a frame specific to him and cairoli has frame specific to him also. He then said it would be impossible for ama to catch because they would have to buy ktm frames and cut them apart to compare.

Maybe instead of getting second hand information through Vital you should use that noggin of yours to get the information yourself. The accuser (Matthes) has said he "wouldn't be surprised" if Herlings ran an illegal frame at Ironman.

I'm not sure what more details you want, I highly doubt KTM would let anyone know the details of what they've actually done to the frames Herlings and Cairoli run.

Secondhand information? Well maybe Matthes should clear this up then? But he didn't bother when asked directly about this accusation in the "Should America not race MXON" topic after he had dispensed with his opinion on why USA should not go.

So it was the frame that was different then?

Did you even listen to the show? Or did you read about it on Vital? What you’re saying and what I heard on the show are pretty far apart from one another.

So it's the frame, not the rider that matters ?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mathes has been eating illegal Cheetos, how else could he be losing weight?

Pretty easy to throw out accusations and never provide proof. It is even funnier that you Pulp blow hards are now convinced a KTM used an illegal frame....With absolutely no evidence.

I am convinced? Do you know how to read, Bob? I never once even suggested that I thought anything illegal was used. I merely repeated what I heard Matthes say. But way to demonstrate reading comprehension there, guy.

I don't think KTM cheated nor do I care if they did, the race was nearly two years ago. But I have to laugh at how emotional you KTM fanboys get at the mere suggestion that they did something wrong.

You fuckers amaze me day after day. Somehow this thread about Jason Anderson has turned into a Herlings thread in under one page. Bravo.

I don’t think Tony ever said there was a drug ring, I believe that was something that Jeff posted on here.
