Hi everyone. Im new here. Just got my new bike. I ride the vet classes (obviously), and am having a ball. Just wanted to check out this forum and show off my new 2017 KTM 250SX-F.
Its a blast. I ride both MX and trails. And Im really liking this on the trails. My older body is not taking as nicely to the big jumps anymore, but it really loves power sliding into turns and cracking it pulling wheelies out. This bike is so fast. Heres a pic of it with 2.0 hours on the clock. I just washed it after my first day of riding. Sucks the season is just about over here in the midwest, but Im going to have fun taking this apart and doing upgrades over winter.

I had a different bike that came with its certificate of ownership because it was originally bought out of state. The original buyer didnt pay taxes on it because they bought it from out of state too. And never titled it in their home state. I had to sell that bike privately because no dealer would take it on trade. The DMV wanted me to pay taxes on the original selling price in order to get an IL title. Yeah no.
So it all worked out.
The Shop
Okay, someone had to get that out of the way. Welcome!
I just picked up an 18 350SXF. Still waiting to take it on the 1st ride.
Congrats on the new bike OP! Nothing like a new bike, that's for sure
Question: How are people changing tires without scratching the shit out of these awesome wheels?? Is it possible?
Congrats on your purchase. Hope it is everything you imagine!

It is possible, but not probable. There are rim protectors out there, but it is gonna slip eventually. Keep a black Sharpie handy!
Pit Row
Mine's a 16. Love the bike! I do sort of wish it had the air forks, but I put stiffer springs front and back and fiddled with the clickers until I got it to feel pretty good. I'm 225 and I can still pull holeshots with this bike.
Dear Yamaha. Make a damn yz350f you stupid bastards! I’ll buy one!
Sincerely,
Forty
CONGRATS, (And wait about 7 hrs for the first oil change, or save the oil otherwise)
