And do you know who's the guy behind this comeback? It seems like it is Christian Audigier (Von Dutch)... I'll give him a chance but I'm quite sceptical...

Well, I'm sure you know this, but JT didn't make the helmets. It wasn't until recently that I learned JT's helmets were made by Bell. At least I think I just learned that...had a few head injuries since then. lol.

Bitchen looking helmets though. I have a few of my old ones still.

When I think of JT I think of the Gregory family. Grass roots done well and successful. I have to say, if this is someone else other then them trying to use the name for credibility I will stick with what I know. The Fox family, regardless of how popular they are - they are still MX.

Can anyone tell me why they left the industry in the 1st place. I left the sport for 4-5 years (late 80's thru early 90's) and when I came back JT was gone and I never heard the story why. I always thought it was crazy that the #1 gear makers in the industry just packed up and left.

I'd prefer that the Gregory family was behind it, too. But even if they're not, I have to admit I'd still really like to wear some JT gear if it's done properly. I missed out on the first go around. Hopefully they're serious about this and it isn't just an attempt to cash in on a good name. They've been so resistant to the idea in the past.

As much as I'd love to see some "heritage" gear from them, I suspect that we'll get the same old, acid-trip induced, clown puke gear that is dominating the market now.

One of my favorite sets of JT stuff was some red/yellow Suzuki stuff from the late seventies. In this picture, I'm wearing the yellow jersey with red trim. I also had one that was red with yellow trim. These pants had the big JT logo on the butt as well as the front of the legs. I had a lot of JT stuff through the years, but this was my favorite.

JT was the coolest gear ever. They ruled at one point. I remember a photo where almost every factory rider was wearing JT.

At one point they even made semi custom stuff. I had some all white with black trim Honda pants with my name on the back.

I still have a JT rain suit, I bet those are pretty rare these days.

I just said the other day they should make a comeback.

This must be the old guy thread.

It's not christian audgier....hes is making helmets with the same company that bought the JT MX gear license.....the new JT is closely related with the baseball co Rawliings. At least that is who owns the license.

I'm up for some JT gear, I wore my old JT Suzuki MX jersey to a recent VMX meeting that I was commentating at. I drag out my fluro orange V-2000 body armour on special occassions lol.

I can't make heads or tails of the information in this post.

1. Who is Christian Audgier?

2. What company bought the JT MX license?

3. Who makes the new JT gear?

4. What gear does the baseball company Rawlings make?

Wasn't the JT helmet a Techno manufactured helmet? I think it was Danny LaPorte or Hakan Carlqvist who we saw first sporting those lids?

Carqvist and other Euro's wore the Techno helmet back in the day. Obviously the JT helmet was styled after the Techno but I don't know if they actually manufactured it. Someone said a while back that Bell may have manufactured them because Bailey's full faced JT helmet used to sport a small Bell sticker.

I had that same exact gear and bike back in 81'! I had a Bell Moto like that, but mine was yellow.
