Pretty useless. I like the 661 riding shorts with the plastic inserts for protection.

I use the hip pad in the shorts, I need additional protection. Over the years I have broken both hips and the pain is a constant reminder to wear them.

I use them until they become a problem. They need to be sewn in not those flimsy things they provide. They usually last two rides then I toss them.

Nope. And It should be noted I wear most any other piece of available protective gear, including a kidney belt!

I have a giant stack of them that have never been used. I save them to make additional padding above the CTi knee brace patella cups.
