Ryan Dungey is having to take a late summer job to make ends meet. It's tough out there. Explains the no show at the USGP and MXoN.

Damn that sucks. Where is the donation link? Oh, and to hell with Obama, everything is his fault.

I saw that the other day. How cool would it be to have the reigning SX and MX champ outside pouring your driveway? I wonder if they even had a clue.

Could you imagine a couple of buddies coming over before you all head to the track and being like "Damn man, your new driveway looks good. Who'd you have do the concrete work?"
"Ryan Dungey."

I think his priorities are all wrong. Dude has millions and he is tied down to one chick and pouring fucking concrete during his short vacation from the grind.....Wink

Smart of him to be looking ahead because that dirt bike riding deal may or may not work out for him...Laughing Silly

Aha, now it is beginning to make sense. He isn't racing the mxon because concrete work pays better.

Dont plaster it all over insta, it reminds me of people who donate a thousand pounds to a good cause and never shut the fuck about it, wanting praise.
Welcome back to the real world though ryan lol

You guys are looking at this all wrong. It isn't bragging, or trying to make ends meet. It's a mafia style threat. Next thing you know, Roczen will have some concrete shoes and be stuck at the bottom of lake Minnetonka.

Dude has his head right for sure. Much more so than the vast majority of young people. In one of the interviews he talked about money and buying things and how consuming things is just trying to fill a void with an item that is a cycle that does not end. I can't remember his exact words, but it was basically him saying he did not get pleasure in life from buying material things. My guess is that he is really enjoying living a normal life for a short while working and spending time with his father and grandfather. He even joked in one of the interviews about working for his dad's concrete business when racing is over. Anyone who does not like the guy isn't playing with a full deck. I'm guessing when racing is over, he will not be trying to get a job in the industry, and will instead go back home and work with his father and grandfather. Cool life.

I truly do hope he's the heir apparent to DeCoster. Just seems like a great fit, if he would want it.

I didn't take it as one of those situations at all. To me, it just seemed like a dude that is proud of his family and wanted to spend some time with them.

Some people get enjoyment on vacation stuffing their faces on a cruise , some get some work done around the house ... I am surprised Aldon didn't tell him to use an old school wheelbarrow for the workout...

Blue collar champion who doesn't feel the need to 'bro down. What a throwback. I respect him more than I already did.

He seems like a hard worker. That's something you are taught. His dad looks like the kind of guy that could get a message across. I dig the whole concept personally. Parents of aspiring racers take note. Parents in general, take note. Hard work, it's a good thing to teach your children.

Yeah I saw this and thought, now that's cool. How many guys in his position suddenly forget who got them there and become too cool to hang out with their dad, or too good for the work that paid their way through the amateurs. I've always been a fan of Dungey and this just solidifies it.
