Yep, and learning the business. I don't see Dungey sitting on the couch for the rest of his life after racing is over even though he financially could do that. I believe he is the kind of guy who needs/wants to keep busy.

It is but I believe overall the top riders are making less than they did in the RC4/CR22/earlyJS7 era.

Lawrence,

You dont know the half of my situation.

I have always hated social media though, i hate how people feel the need to show EVERY part of their lives.

E.g posts a pic of dinner on plate with a caption "dinner mmmmmmmMMM!!"

Maybe i will post a picture of the dump im currently in disposal of eh. Captioned "look what i just did world"

So you equate a professional athlete working concrete with their family business to posting a picture of their dinner...or you taking a dump? And look, I'm not huge on the social media stuff either, but you didn't have to click on it.

On social media, each person has there own style and own way of posting, that is what makes social media cool. Sure some people might overpost about day to day stuff, but no one said you have to read it or click on it. If you dont like social media, then dont go on it.

As for you, your comments make you sound like a pretty negative, but rock solid internet hater!

Ryan and his family are pretty much no bullshit, hard working people.

His dad spent about 10 years or more working with and for Ryan (the last few he served as his practice bike mechanic and helper back at his home in FL).

But he (the father) decided to move on and leave Ryan, and to move home to MN and start a business doing concrete work.

So I think it is very cool that Ryan takes an interest and supports him, and after all his dad did to support his son.

This interview with his pops speaks to that transition, and I think Ryan going to work with his, even if it was only for a day or a few hours is very cool.

Dude has his head right for sure. Much more so than the vast majority of young people. In one of the interviews he talked about money and buying things and how consuming things is just trying to fill a void with an item that is a cycle that does not end. I can't remember his exact words, but it was basically him saying he did not get pleasure in life from buying material things. My guess is that he is really enjoying living a normal life for a short while working and spending time with his father and grandfather. He even joked in one of the interviews about working for his dad's concrete business when racing is over. Anyone who does not like the guy isn't playing with a full deck. I'm guessing when racing is over, he will not be trying to get a job in the industry, and will instead go back home and work with his father and grandfather. Cool life.
That sounds boring as shit

Travis,

Sorry to offend you further with what I perceive as the truth to your posts.

I do not know your situation, and really even if we spoke all night and stayed up late sharing feelings, I'd still describe your posts as juvenile emotionally. BUT, I'm not judging you as a person, because as you mentioned, I don't know the half.

But usually people communicate in a way that helps to tell a story about them. Your story reads dark, my friend, and for that let me know if I can help you in any way as I'm not here to make it worse for you.

Thank you.
