Hahaha I like Steve. And Steve does have a very solid point in regards to Newman. TG, from what I know, is a good poster.

You know the guys personally, so obviously you have a different perspective. I get that. You're very close to situations and that changes your take on things. Do we agree on everything? No way. Do I respect your perspective and opinions? Sure do.

May be wise for Matthes to do a little understanding as well.

Not changing my avi but hopefully this buys me some flame-proofing in the future.

You weren't the only one who had some thoughts about the top 30 list.......Wink

The old saying about nice guys finishing last might or might not be true but it is still great to have positive people around.

It's Newmann, with two n's. People might get confused as to whom you are speaking of. Wink

Go read a few pages of that thread and you'll see that one didn't work out too well for Matthes either.Laughing

Literally just finished reading Jody's Box (Feb./'17) and then stepped into this. How timely. Steve, be sure to read it.

Long before the days of Twitter or Instagram, us up and comers, maybe Rick Ryan, and Manny would go to a little garage (almost every Tues. in South San Jose) and get some help on our bikes from a genius local mechanic.

As here, Manny stood out and was kind of like a big brother to us. We all had egos a mile wide, but some were a little more visible and that's a good thing.

Those were fond memories and the closest thing I've found online to that mid to late 80's garage is right here on Vital. Glad Manny's here and is on his game!

Wow

That got to me.

Jon Stoodley is like a dad to me; but, you know that.

Thank you for reminding me of how it all started. I remember making my own (and the very 1st) JSE decals for my '82 KX125 that Jon prepped so well that the folks from Kawasaki took a good hard look at it and even took measurements from my pipe (Lorretta's 1982). Jon made us feel like Factory Riders.
I rode a few motors by JSE back in the day, that guy was way ahead of his time.
Sticker's still in good shape!

Manny is as genuine as they come. What you see or read from him is exactly the person he is. I only wish that I had just an 1/8th of the energy level Manny has. Smile

Lol...
I can't complain too loud. We've had a relatively mild winter so far.
We had a stretch of minus temps, but not a lot of snow.. I'm sure it's coming. Just don't know when.

Are you the defender? No, that's just my point of view on adults talking crap about other adults on their twitters and instagrams. Don't you think it should be teenage girls doing that stuff, not grown up men? Seems like a plague lately. I'm old school on that kind of stuff. If you have a problem with somebody, grow a pair and confront, instead of whining on your twitter/insta.

He knows. I'm sure he's been watching it closely. He's just too much of a chicken shit to reply because he knows he will get roasted and lose yet a few more listeners.

If he does, will it be "I was drunk", or "Someone used my account"?

JT$ where you at? I know you'd have a classic one liner or two for this one haha! Text Steve and weeege and do a podcast all about vital and the wacko stuff that gets said on here!! And Steve hit up Sinjin from the show and have him respond to TeamGreen instead. Now that would be good stuff! Whatever so Steve put this guy on blast. Maybe it's deserved but who knows?! He seems to be taking it good though so right on too you dude. Been a pulp fan since day one and always will be. Ive called a bunch on the show back when Kenny was around. It's not the same without him but its still the best motocross show on a Monday nights that's out there

You mean guys constantly ragging on a certain rider...or two...?
My bad.

I "get" that it's the Internet; but, the Kim-n-Kanye bitching DOES get old and "The Rider of the Week to Rag-On" posts ...also ...get old.

On the other-hand...

Controversy Sells and I must be coming across as a Buzz-Kill.
Again, my bad.
He didn't mention he was Ferrys mechanic?

Like alot of other vital posters, no difference. As soon as Steve comes on vital, all those bashing him will have the same excuse.

Heh, the bed looks as big as my new Crew Max Tundra, and has a storage well also. Cool.

Your bed is significantly bigger (deeper and wider) and a body on frame which makes it a truck. Ridgeline is a unibody and shares same platform as the Honda Odyssey minivan and pilot, not a truck.

There was a poster on another forum years ago who would go into complete meltdown at any criticism of the Ridgeline. Like apoplectic. He was pretty much out to lunch anyway, so when he got especially kooky people would just pile on how much the Ridgeline was a car/suburban warrior/sucked and he would lose it.
