CONFIRMED! Australian superstar and 2x FIM World Supercross Champion, Chad Reed is locked in to compete in the WSXChampionship as part of the MDK Motorsports team!

This is exactly why its more of a seniors tour than a world championship….Happy for Reedy to get paid to race again as I am for Chiz, Brayton, Deano etc….but it will be far far from the worlds best competing for a championship…which is what a true world championship should be…

Have to start somewhere. What better way to get fan interest than having this kind of name recognition, whether they’re past their prime or not.

If this new series offers that opportunity to not only the stars like Roczen and Reed, but also guys like Anstie, then i'm all for it.

Right now it’s nothing more that three off season races that the promoter is paying riders start money to show up…that I have no problem with…but to allow team owners in that have been shady in the past and to try to call it a world championship….you’ll more than likely have riders racing for a podium that usually finish a lap down in the US….far from the worlds best…far from a world championship…

Who cares? It’s another series to provide an opportunity to people to make money racing dirt bikes. I hope it works out and these guys make some money.

So here's the thing, it may not be as big as SX in the US and it may not attract the BIG sx stars but it is as big as any country outside of the US will get.
I'd love to take the family to A1, but for me, that will cost around 10K. On the other hand, I can take the family to Melbourne for around 1K. I can also guarantee there will be people from New Zealand flying over for this as well who likely are in the same boat as well.
I'll admit, the US is where it's at for SX but for anyone living outside the US, WSX is the most accessible form of supercross racing we can go to live. I just don't understand why you feel the need to shit on it in every thread that pops up

With current costs, it would be $10k for you to go to A1 if you flew in the morning of, and flew out right after the race ended. I looked into going back to the states next month, and it would have been somewhere in the neighborhood of $12-$14k for flights, hotels and rental cars (not including gas). Too damn rich for my blood right now.

If they bring the WSX to Tokyo/Osaka, I'm 100% there.
