I didn't hear the podcast, but given the fact that JGR 250's and RCH 450's will be a Yoshimura effort, that might have something to do with it ? Just throwing it out there...

So RCH were looking at Deano, Bogle, and Weimer? After hearing what Cary said on Jason's podcast, I'm assuming Deano stopped riding the Vital MX Suzuki because RCH was looking mainly at wiemer and bogle because of conflicting sponsors. Deano is a smart kid, he's not going to sign with a team that has zero backing. So he's now riding the Yamaha 450 that Keith McCarthy gave him to try and see what happens from there. and NOW.. you insiders are saying that RCH won't have any title sponsor and the team is going to fold before A1? Correct?

Fold ? I doubt that....
But I'm sure that RCH was hoping to have things figured out by now. Their race team effort may be a little different from what they had planned on, but hopefully they will get the sponsor money that they need to do it right..... After all, they are the Factory Suzuki 450 team. Bogle seems to be content, hopefully Tickle has his ducks in a row as well. I don't see them able to afford to keep Weimer around, but what do I know. Maybe a test rider/ fill in racer gig s still a possibility ??
Last vid I saw of Bogle & Weimer practicing at Mileville had Bogle saying "everything is good" & riding what looked to be a full-on RCH Suzuki, while Weimar was on a Suzuki without a logo in sight. Guess RCH is letting Jake use a bike until they get everything together...whatever that might mean.

Is it just me or does this not seem like a real shit show on suzukis part that their factory 450 effort is waiting on pins and needles about getting sponsor money? Like we might not be able to pull this off? jMO.

RCH will race, just not funded the way they wanted it.

They're not folding and Dean never had a spot there, it's been Tickle and Bogle with Weimer helping out with testing.

I was a little confused in one of kenny's latest podcast. He was basically talking like JGR and RCH were going to be operating together as a team. Perhaps I was just wasn't clearly understanding what he was getting at.
That was Kennys podcast with Peick as his guest, they were discussing the JGR switch to yellow. Watson was basically saying that the two teams' previous OEM situation was similar in that they both played second fiddle. RCH was competing directly with Yosh Suz so there was no in-house "teamwork" so to speak. Same with JGR and Yamaha when they brought the factory team back and also took away Cooper.

So watson was referring to how he was looking forward to JGR and RCH working together on bike development etc

Contracts have been signed, but the salary amounts are still up in the amount? Wow... Crazy how unprepared they were for Roczen's departure. They will be a far cry from what they were last year. They will need time to rebuild.

Doesn't Bogle have the same agent as Hart?

Very, very sloppy work from the agent if this ends up bad.

Hard to believe that the factory Suzuki team can't get money to go racing, does Suzuki just have no money? Are they not willing to spend it so they're forcing RCH to find the sponsors? Seems odd to me because I would think every other factory could go racing with or without sponsors, obviously the sponsors are a big help though.

Not sure how all contracts are signed when no one knows how much they will be getting paid ? I would bet JGR will be the factory Suzuki effort. Sooner than later

Two different people told me Bogle was signed sealed and delivered, BUT the exact dollar amounts weren't finalized. I'm like, WTF? They will be fine as a team, sounds like, but they will not touch last year's results with KROC. It will be an interesting story to follow.

I heard Deano was pretty gun shy with the RCH situation. Can't blame him after the JWR Kawi cluster f*ck he got put into previously.

It is weird RCH is not ready - seemed like the Kenny to Honda was out there prior to Motocross starting - they should have had time. With all three riders in question - Bogle, Tickle and Weimer would be in the hunt for top 10's on good nights and top 15 at least. They shouldn't be too expensive either and think that team could be successful. Not Kenny successful but successful.

Just a bunch of speculation. People posting as if RCH had a say in being unprepared at this point, if it's even true. Not much they can do about their title sponsors leaving. Maybe just quit making stuff up and wait for some real info instead of talking down about a team that you have no idea what is going on with.

RCH has lost most of their major sponsors, and we all know who they are.

For what seemed to be an all star team from the top down, how does this happen?

I get what you are saying, however, sponsors coming and going is just the nature of the business. Could they help that they lost a big sponsor or two? No. Does it matter if they could help it? No. It's somebody's job to get the team sponsors. Someone makes a living getting them sponsorships and marketing their value. Whoever that is, they weren't able to get it done properly this go around. Shit happens, but I wouldn't remove the blame from them. It is their fault. RCH played the sponsorship game better than most for many, many years. Good teams are continually rotating sponsorships and pursuing new avenues. RCH is having a hard time getting big sponsorship $$ because they are going from a championship winning team to a top 10 team. HUGE difference in the amount of available money. When your best rider is Bogle, it's a tough sale. This will be a rebuilding year and that is okay. But some stuff went seriously south for this deal to still not be announced.

Weird year. Mookie wins a title, still unemployed. RCH wins a title, can't get sponsor money for top riders.

It's really not that crazy to me. Put it this way, RCH with Kroc/RCH with Tomac/RCH with Dungey looks a lot different to sponsors than RCH with Bogle/Tickle. Just because they won a championship last year, the writing is still on the wall that they don't have that caliber of rider for 2017, they are all already under contracts elsewhere.

Not bagging on the riders, it's just the reality as of contract time.

This isn't just MX/SX. Listening to the NASCAR channel on Sirius this morning, they were talking about the struggle for sponsor funding, and Roush Racing shuttering Greg Biffle's 16 team.

We've heard lots of the same rumors about RCH and have made some inquiries. For now it's been pretty much silence.

This may be out of left field, but you know what I would like to see? A Q&A or even just a quality interview with a current person involved in the team or sport sponsorship process. A top marketing agent or someone similar who is handles the motorsports sponsorship process. I would imagine someone like that could provide some cool insight to the current times we are in...

The problem is that there aren't any top riders available to hire.....it doesn't matter how much money they get!
