Dang! what's that guy do to the riders who hire him. Turned Ricky Carmichael from a chubby Hamburger eating Fast guy into the Greatest MX/SX Champion ever, Now he's got Villopoto into the Fittest Fastest rider in the World. He's got quite a resume going and I bet he costs a pretty Penny

Also trained Bubba in between RC and RV when he was winning championships. Your on the low side.

I think it makes Dungey's independent program all the more impressive. While he may not have the raw speed of RV, he's as fit as anyone out there. And it's much cheaper. Smile

I have been curios as to what it costs to hire Aldon as well. I bet he makes pretty good money in a year.

THERE!! we go, it's always gotta be someone who believes it can't just be Natural ability that's allowing Villopoto to Dominate in Supercross, but some kind of Performance enhancing whatever. RV's the Fastest, just because he's the FASTEST!!! and most Fit rider on the Track, nothing other than thatSmile I bet Bubba regrets not hanging onto Aldon Baker

I wonder how much is "program" and how much is it baby-sitting? No offense meant with the baby sitting comment but I imagine a fair bit of time Aldon is on his guys to make sure they ate their plain free range chicken breast, celery sticks and drank a veggie slurpee.

I suppose if I was making a million +, I would pay Aldon 75k.

They discussed this on Pulp the other day, it was anywhere between 6 figures and 250K...

He obviously gets results... RV was already like RC in that he never quit, Aldon just shredded him up... lethal combo, RV is the most intense racer I think i've ever seen, he twists that 450 out...

He trains Jake Weimer also. How is that going? RC would have done it without Aldon. So would have RV. Aldon helps that's for sure but its not he's out there on the bike pounding moto's with these guys. In fact I have never seen him on a bike. Anyone got videos to show his chops?

I reckon Aldon makes as much per year as any rider on the track, including RV & Stewart.

He's a fitness trainer not a riding coach. It's not relevant at all if he can ride a bike or not.

Aldon is a good friend of mine and I can tell you first hand his program is all encompassing. From cardio, to strength and balance and most importantly, nutrition. His recovery process is world class. I used to supply him with recovery product for JS7 and I have seen it first hand. He is worth every penny they pay him, he is also hardly ever at home with his family as he literally dedicates night and day to his guys. Everyone he touches turns to gold. Best resume possibly of any trainer ever in motosports or otherwise...incredible human. I am almost as big a fan of Aldon as the Boob um er Noob is of RV. Unfortunately you won't see me start 50 threads a week about him...Woohoo

JT$ said on Pulp this week its $250K for Aldon per year. I'm guessing theres some deal worked out though as I don't see Weimer making enough to flip that bill.

RC would have done it without Aldon. So would have RV.

If that were true they never would have hired him.

Yup. This is RV in 2009 his first year in big bikes, prior to working with Aldon.

This is him now.

Kongols, you should've added a shot from his first pro year in '06 when he had the Justin Bieber haircut going on.

When I got home last week I finally got to see that RV special on TV. Aldon had me cracking up! I instantly thought THAT would be a reality show I'd like to watch.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of 'right of refusal' clause in Aldon's contract? I see that Aldon trains guys other than RV but not guys RV is directly competing with (or who are a championship threat).

You think any of these guys are on the juice? Smile

In 20 years from now will AMA be stripping more records than what was taken off Lance? Hope not. Juice it up baby!

This thread has already gone there and someone deleted a bunch of posts. Sucks we cant talk about the realities of the sport.

I also believe RC, JS and RV would have all been champions without Alden. He is there to push them to the next level fitness wise but these guys all won titles pre-Baker. That being said, I also think he's by far the best trainer in the sport and seems to be worth the money.

Amazing recovery program.
RC, Townley, James, & RV have turned some big injuries around fast.
Coming back from injuries looking better than before.
