I was at Loretta's for the first part of the week but came home yesterday afternoon...

Now I hear rumor on FB of Adam Cianciarulo getting protested... anyone have info on this? He was so far gone from everyone else in each moto I seen there didn't seem like anyone would have much to say..

I didn't know you could protest faster than you. That kid could win all his classes on a 3 yr old stock bike.

I think anyone you race against can put a claim against your bike.....weather faster or slower. If what you typed was true.......guys like AC would never get protested.......cause he wins just about every single time.

Isn't there a difference between a claim and a protest?

What about Cooper Webb???

Honest question here, I remember him being protested at a different Am National and thought he refused to comply with the teardown. If that is true than how is he allowed at LL's?

He gave money to the AMA in the form of an entry fee and they forgot all about that.

I believe there he was diqualified from that event (in the stk class), but was not suspended.
He was checked for sound and something else at Lorettas, but I assume was legal:

ama officail holding Webbs bike awaiting sound test

toolie sending a message to the privateers (ck his right hand)

sound test

It Passed, you can tell by how thrilled the crew is

inspecting something else?

kip checking with Yamaha guy to make sure that everyting is legal?

Right, the AMA... Like when RC got busted for lead in his fuel than it magically got swept under the rug and he got his points back.

Thanks Mxbum. I didn't want to quote all the photos, but it looks like a lot of eyes were on him. I guess if he was disqualified than he paid for his crime. It just seems like you shouldn't be able to flat out refuse with no consequence.

I be dammed. Looks like they tossed the string and put the meter on a tripod stand. Something that I called them out on in 03 and 04. They said that I was a trouble maker.

Dog: The problem is that since there was not an official protest, no one except Rockstar and Yamaha guys are there (with the AMA guys). Not wanting to rehash the Mideast regional non-sound check fiasco, but Cooper was running an aftermarket exhaust with no insert. I know in the other thread, Slow Old Guy said there are only a couple that will pass the 94db requirement (without an insert), i guess this is one of the combos that will pass.

i believe when cooper got protested at the earlier national they got to the carb and found the mod and that satisfied the protestee so they stopped and he got disqualified. they didnt refuse the tear down but they weren't excited about it. this is why he wasn't banned for a year...

just repeating what was in that thread when it was on here months back.

So let me get this straight:

- OP went to LL early week
- OP heard FB rumor AC92 was protested
- anyone can claim a bike
- Cooper Web protested at AMA event early in year
- Cooper Webb should be suspended because he didn't tear down
- Photo evidence that sound check was, in fact, performed at LL
- So Cooper Webb wasn't DQ'd at earlier AMA event

You guys make my head hurt.

Yes, because AC has never won by these margins before. Must be the bike.

I don't think the protest was due to being so far out front rather the fact that he pulled the holeshot from the worst gate pic.

Pretty standard deal that the winner gets protested, especially when the bike is clearly faster than anything else on the line.

If you win or many times even get top 5 legal or not expect to be protested at L.L's. That's how it's always been

My kid rode his race bike a few weeks ago, when they were testing some stuff. My son has just started trying some different 125's to see what he likes. And he said not one of them can hang with Adam's supermini, not only is it a rocket it'll stop on a dime too!!! Jake said that was 20 minutes he'll never forget!

112cc. i think the only thing to protest in s/mini would be displacement, wheelbase, or wheel size.
