I’ve thought about it, however most of my buddies that have said mid gen update have had a lot of motor issues, cam chains bottom ends the lot, my 250 has just hit 107 hours (450 has 67) and has just had a full rebuild, keep in mind it’s only had 2 top ends before hand. I’m not kind to...

In Australia (im not from the states) im hearing alot of whispers the new CRF250’s are blowing up and needing whole engine rebuilds with less than 10 hours… is there any truth to this or just poor maintenance?

Hey guys, It’s almost new bike time for me and i’m having trouble choosing… I currently have a matching pair of 2019 YZF’s (250 and 450) and trying to decide whether to go 2022 YZ’s or 2022 CRF’s, im used to the YZ but i’ve heard a lot of good about the CRF As a big rider (6’5) a bike...

I run clamps forward turned back at 6'4". Ditch the lowered pegs too they're throwing off intended balance of the bike.

The facilities in Aus that i ride usually have a sand track and tacky/mud national track. Both really deep ruts, the issue seems to be somewhat masked in the sand but still hesitates a bit.

Evening all, I’ll cut straight to it. You’ve probably heard this all before but I’m struggling to get my Yamahas to turn. Feel like they’re unnecessarily timid when leant over. Both my 19’ 250 and 19’ 450 have Guts Tall seats, Flo lowered pegs and Bars in forward mount with clamps forward. Both bikes 108mm sag, Forks 5mm through and...

Evening Gents, Been looking tirelessly for a tall seat for my ‘19 YZ450F & YZ250F as i’m 6’5 and i make Yamahas look like 110’s and can only find the seat foam… do the stock seat covers fit the extra 3/4 of an inch or so of seat foam? Been looking for so long and i’m lost at this point...

wst260 Added a reply to 2019 YZ450F Piston knock at 50Hours

Update: Camchain skipped 4 teeth, piston way past it’s prime and damaged. Thankfully i turned it straight off and no damage to any of the other internals. My Personal Mechanic said to be changing the camchain every 20-30 hours and top end every 40-50. Didn’t expect such low numbers from a YZ450 (The volvo of MX bikes) but it is...

Hey all, I’ve had my 2019 450 for about 8 months now and it’s just hit 50 hours, went to go ride it last weekend and just before i pulled onto the track the piston started knocking louder than the actual bike just idling… Bit lost for words as i’ve babied this bike.. I’ve heard of cam chains on this...

Hi All, I’ve got both a 2019 YZ250F and 2019 YZ450F, i’ve noticed in recent times especially on Ferrandis’ Star Yamaha that the bottom parts on both sides of the rear number plates are cut off… Is this for looks or does it actually have an advantage / purpose? only have one set of plastics and don’t know whether to...

+1 on the PSF1 air forks as working really, really well. I loved the feel of mine on my KX450F after a revalve. What I didn’t like is that they changed throughout the day. In NorCal we would often have cool mornings and warm days and the forks would work awesome early, and then get harsh as it warmed up. I eventually converted them to spring just to eliminate that. I’m not a racer and just a vet weekend warrior and I didn’t like dicking around all the time with the air pressures to keep them feeling good.

I personally feel air forks get a maaaajorly bad rap. I've got 2 sets of KYB PSF1 A-kit air forks (1 set on CRF, 1 set on YZF) + 1 set KYB A-kit spring forks (on YZF). Both are amazing, but I have to say I **really** like the adjustability of the PSF1s. A LOT. I recently spoke at length with an ex KYB Factory Tech who worked with KRoc and ETomac on air forks when they were under serious development and he said they got the air fork to perform better than the A-kit spring forks. There are a...

You may have to lower the rear shock to balance the chassis with the psf fork. To this day, that is one of my guy's fav forks. We've used them on 16 kx450, 17 yz450, and on kx250 2t bikes. I like the fork. Once you get it set up to your liking, its as good as anything. I used the skf hd 48k seals, and factory bushings on the dlc coated forks.

Recently upgraded to a 2019 YZ250F, the PT SX Race bars are good but not great, as i am a taller rider (6’4 without boots) i’m trying to look for Dylan Ferrandis’ Neken bars but can’t find them anywhere... I believe they are a “R00002” bend.. any advice or links to a pair for sale would be great. Cheers, Will
